5 out of 5 starsReceived my necklace a couple weeks ago and absolutely love it. It is well made and was sent with a box, pouch and card describing what the mala means. If the dreamy light lavender does not inspire divine love I dont know what gemstone would. Highly recommend Soaring Spirit.

About soaringspiritsales
Creating Peace Within
I remember the first time I created a mala - purple lepidolite - as if it was yesterday. I had left the west coast and relocated to the D.C. Area stumbling upon Soaring Spirit Yoga Studio in 2009. I met Summer Kiser, it's founder and she taught me how to make this first mala, giving me a mantra that immediately resonated with me: I Release Past Suffering.
Each of the 108 beads passes between my fingers as I hand tie each knot. I contemplate selection of the guru bead, something that I feel fits the stone and it's inherent properties. I create the tassel - a gorgeous gathering of silk. I infuse the mantra using reiki and affirmation. Then and only then am I ready to stamp the pouch, and prepare the mala for my customer.
I create malas for those seeking specific stones for their natural healing properties, for those looking for a 'fashionable' piece of jewelry, or for those who simply want a tool with which they can meditate. I love custom orders and would be happy to discuss a mala created just for you and your needs.
I have been running Soaring Spirit since 2010 and took over mala making in 2015 as Summer began to pursue creating beautiful yarns by hand. I am forever grateful to her for showing me the power of these healing gemstones.
Besides yoga and meditation I have a passion for riding motorcycles. In my time off I enjoy exploring the country roads of Virginia with my boyfriend Scott. On my motorcycle I can leave my worries behind... I am kept in the moment; existing among the amazing landscape nature provides.
Scott has been dabbling in pyrography (wood burning) since he was a child. He has always been fascinated by fire and its effects on his wood canvasses. He is constantly experimenting with new techniques, materials and pyrography equipment. His creations are a meditation in and of themselves and he loves it!
Nancy introduced him to yoga in 2013 and they began to collaborate shortly thereafter, beginning with pieces for her brick and mortar space and now here on Etsy.
We both love to do custom work and invite you to message us with ideas so that we may create a custom piece just for you.
