Soda City Sewing

OUR HISTORY
I'm Bayne, the owner of Soda City Sewing. I started this business in 2012 with an embroidery/sewing machine combo from eBay and a collection of thrifted textiles! I was lucky to find support early on in wonderful Etsy customers, and since have been able to grow my business with professional machines, and the best fabrics.

A proud moment for me was when I was able to stay home with my first son Leo, in 2014, to run Soda City Sewing full time, from home. A few years later, in 2017, we welcomed twin babies Jude and Annie during an unexpectedly premature birth at 28 weeks. While caring for them in the NICU, we learned that our daughter has special medical needs, and neither twin would have the lung development or immune system to handle day care for a few years. Fast forward to today and they are both thriving! Apart from their size, you would never know their early struggles!

For this reason, your support and patronage of my "stay at home mom" business becomes even more important to our family. I am incredibly grateful for the flexibility to have managed NICU visits, doctor's appointments and day to day baby care, all while working in a business that I love!

WHO WE ARE
Soda City Sewing is made up of several amazing team members, which you can read about on this page. We thrive with the help of local moms, students, and professionals who help us cut fabric, sew, and package items. What you buy here is truly made in America, and your purchase goes to support real families, just like yours!

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
We are not the typical monogramming shop! Most dresses, shortalls, and longalls are completely hand crafted from fabric, here in South Carolina. Each one can take hours to complete and is made to your order. The majority of our embroidery designs are also created here, and so we are able to offer outfit combinations you cannot get anywhere else! We take time to create exactly the outfit you've chosen. When you receive it, know it was created just for you, with much care and attention.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS LOVE
Our delivery guarantees! At checkout, you can choose when to receive your items. Standard delivery can be 2-3 weeks, but, if you need something sooner, you'll see options for as soon as 5 days, 1 week, 1.5 weeks, 2 weeks or 2.5 weeks. This means you can rest assured that you'll get your outfit in time for the big day! (Note, ordering early is still a good idea as there may be just a few times a year we are not able to offer rush delivery due to demand or vacations).

YOU ROCK!
Thanks SO much for visiting and supporting our small business. Your purchase helps support my family, and also provides extra income for the families of my amazing seamstresses and fabric cutters, who are local moms, artists, and students. So every dollar you spend here is likely paying for a college class, a daughter's ballet lesson, or a special Christmas gift. We are grateful you chose to shop small and with Soda City Sewing- You are appreciated!

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

To order a personalized outfit, order the one pictured but tell me the personal details in the notes box at checkout. For monograms: Please be sure to give me a full name so that I can put the letters in the right order. Boys get monograms in two formats so let me know if you prefer them all in a row, the same size.. or with last name larger in the middle.

Let me know thread color and font in the notes there too!

Sizing details

I have a size chart posted at www.sodacitysewing.com/fontsizing

These are garment measurements, so best to compare to a well-fitting outfit. If comparing to a child's measurements, allow 2" or so for a good fit. When in doubt, order up!

Gift wrapping and packaging

Normally your item comes neatly folded in a cello-bag inside your shipping package, suitable for gifting!

If you've included a gift message, it will be printed and sent along with the outfit. We also have an option for gift wrap for a small fee at checkout.

Wholesale availability

Wholesale orders of $1000 or more, please contact me at bayne@sodacitysewing.com for pricing and delivery options. Note, some items are already priced as low as possible.

Care instructions

Most garments have a care tag sewn into them, or come in packaging with care instructions.

Typically you can wash cold and tumble dry! If you wash with hot water, the outfits can shrink slightly.

Special care exceptions: Linen outfits: Please cold wash and air dry to avoid shrinkage.

Shipping Times

There are lots of shipping options for each item. You could get your item in as soon as 5 days or as long as 3 weeks, depending.

Because it varies so much depending on your item, the best way to see the options is to actually put the item in your cart. During checkout (but before you actually pay), there will be a shipping drop down. It will say the time you'd receive and cost. The faster you need it, the more expensive the shipping. Also if you have multiple items in your cart, the price goes up. If you only urgently need one item, it may be cheaper to check out separately and get the 2nd item shipped more slowly.
