Insurance is included in the quoted shipping expense. We insure all shipments.
We use the services of the USPS, FedEx, and UPS. The price quoted for shipping is the maximum cost for basic shipping (ground 1-6 days) and handling within the borders of the continental United States. Items weighing 4 pounds or less generally are shipped via USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days). For items weighing more than 4 pounds, or if the box required exceeds 1 cubic foot in volume, we use USPS Parcel Select or FedEx, whichever is more cost effective to your address.
We ship from South Florida and we are in the process of converting our shop to calculated shipping. For those shipping estimates you may find that are fixed, our quotes are for costs to the Pacific Coast. If you live in between, we refund shipping over payments in excess of $1.00. Residents living outside those areas please contact us for a quote on shipping costs and any insurance.
Expedited (overnight) shipping can be provided at the buyer's expense. Please contact us for a price quote.
Florida residents are responsible for 6% sales tax.
We will combine shipping on multiple items where possible. Due to the nature of what we sell, some items require that they be shipped separately. Please contact us with any questions regarding combining items.
Shipping to PO Boxes will require delivery via the USPS.
We do ship internationally. We only use the United States Postal Service 1st Class International or Priority Mail International services for international shipments, depending on the weight of the item. Prices quoted for items weighing less than 4 pounds are for International 1st class (2-3 week delivery time). We can upgrade you to Priority Mail International (6-10 day delivery time) for the additional charges that apply. Items weighing 4 pounds or more must be shipped via USPS Priority Mail International. Please contact us with any questions or for a quote to ship to your region if it is not listed.
We can not represent international shipments as gifts. Purchases must be accurately described and valued at the full sales price. International buyers are responsible for any and all charges related to delivery, including, but not limited to, clearance and/or customs fees, duties and/or taxes, and any brokerage fees that may be charged by the shipper. Please be familiar with the laws of your country.
Due to myriad import restrictions, we do not ship to Italy.
Because of our inability to obtain insurance, we do not ship to Afghanistan, Angola, Bolivia, Brazil, Burma, Congo, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire), Liberia, Nigeria, North Korea, Paraguay, Russia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Venezuela.
We can ship to Mexico, but with restrictions. Please convo us before making a purchase.
For shipments to Commonwealth of Independent States countries (includes Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan) our insurance coverage ceases upon touchdown of the aircraft at the airport of destination or upon discharge from the overseas vessel at the destination discharge port. (This list is subject to change.)
Shipments sent to countries that are embargoed by the United States or United Nations as sanctioned by the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) are also not covered by our insurance.
Refunds and Exchanges
Our number one goal is that all of our customers will be happy with their purchases from South Florida Collectors. To that end we strive to accurately describe and photograph all items sold. Pictures are considered to be part of the description. We provide detailed size and capacity information (where applicable) in both standard and metric forms of measurement for every listing. We feel that buyers have a responsibility to read the descriptions, look at our photographs, and ask any questions that there may be before making a purchase.
If, upon receipt of your order, you (the buyer) feel that an item has been grossly misrepresented, please contact us and detail your concern. Should we agree the item was not accurately described, the buyer will be responsible for shipping the item back to us at their own expense including insurance for the buyers protection. Upon our receipt of the item, in it's original condition as shipped to the buyer by us, the purchase price along with shipping and insurance costs will be refunded at that time.
Additional policies and FAQs
Excellent- No chips, flea bites, scratches, cracks, hairlines, staining, or repairs. There may be marks on the base of an item from normal shelf contact and wear.
Very Good- Generally the same as excellent with the presence of some light surface marks or other signs of light use. Any departures from "excellent" will be noted.
Good- In the case of more unusual items an item may have a chip, flea bite, scratch or some other defect that should not affect how an item is able to be displayed but is present nonetheless. Items such as this will always be noted and we do not typically sell items of lesser quality than "good".
We go to great lengths when identifying, describing and photographing our fine quality stemware. We provide detailed size and capacity information in both standard and metric forms of measurement. We do all of this so that through our listings you can be positive that what you see in the picture is what you will receive when purchased. If you are attempting to match a pattern you already own, please make sure that what you are purchasing matches what you have. If you have any questions, please ask before making your decision to purchase. We welcome them all. Due to the fragile nature of these items we do not accept returns. This is outlined in additional detail within our Returns Policy.
