Welcome to Softyarn Designs, for knitters and non-knitters alike. For knitters, there are patterns for hats, shawls, sweaters, baby gifts, and more - all written clearly and test knitted so that you can have less frustration and more knitting fun.
Ponytail hats are a Softyarn Designs specialty. In fact, the reason I began designing patterns is that sometimes I wear a high ponytail, sometimes low, sometimes in between. But the ponytail hat patterns I saw had just one spot for the ponytail. With the button band design in Softyarn Designs patterns, you can wear your ponytail (or bun) how you like.
For non-knitters, you can still have the unique look and cozy feel of a handmade knitted item without having to knit it yourself. And sometimes even knitters just want to buy something pre-made :)

A friend taught me to knit when I was 16 years old. I began designing my own patterns almost from the start, and eventually started sharing my patterns with other knitters. My patterns are test knitted and tech edited for clarity and ease of use because I think you deserve to enjoy the knitting journey at much as you enjoy the final product.
All of my sweater patterns include a wide range of sizes and include opportunities to personalize the fit so that you can knit a sweater that will make you feel great, whatever your size.
Instructions include lots of information, but if you ever have questions, my email is included.
