I would love to say after much though and experimentation I settled on making felt patches for my favorite fandoms, but really one night I woke up and the idea was in my head. The next day I got to sketching, cutting, and stitching.

Now that I think of it, it's an obvious thing for me to make. I love felt crafts and accessories from WWII, and am an avid collector of yearbooks from the 1940s and 1950s. They often depict photos of clubs or fraternities/sororities sporting patches on jackets and sweaters that let the world know what group they identify with. I feel like those who love these fictional characters in movies and t.v. shows may want to identify in a similar way. When wearing something fandom based I've made connections with people who share my interests, and some who have no idea what it represents just admire the style of it.
