Announcement    Featuring hand crafted earrings, cuff links, rings, barrettes and other fine jewelry made from solar panels to power the imagination and inspires the world. They make great conversation starters for those in the renewable energy and environmental fields.

Each piece is crafted from actual photovoltaic cell fragments into a beautiful piece of eco-awareness jewelry.

When I'm not making jewelry (aka most of the time), I'm raising my family in an eco-friendly way and writing for the green living blog my wife and I started.

Beginning in 2014, I am taking a hiatus from made-to-order pieces unless you understand it may take many weeks to complete. If you have a special request, send me a message and we can discuss it.

    About solarpaneljewelry

    Sales 144
    On Etsy since 2010

I started make solar panel jewelry to give my wife the perfect gift.

Solar panel jewelry got started when I had an idea at an energy festival. My wife had asked for some renewable energy themed jewelry she could wear to work, but I couldn't find anything, so I did what any good engineer does, I invented a new line of jewelry.

Now featuring 3D printed jewelry too!

Since that first pair of earrings that my mom helped me construct, I have added all sorts of other styles and pieces.

I handcraft solar panel jewelry by recycling defective/broken solar wafers (solar cells) into beautiful and unique pieces of jewelry. I use a process of lamination or epoxy casting to make these ecoawareness accessories.

I got started making solar panel jewelry when I couldn't find any solar related earrings for my wife who is also a big renewable energy fan. Now I make earrings, brooches, lapel pins, cuff link, tie tacs and necklaces. Someday I hope to have the solar panels power small LEDs embedded in the jewelry.
