It started as a birthday gift

I've been a crafter for as long as I can remember and my birthdays have always been filled with crafty presents. Four years ago my husband bought me a selection of craft kits and amongst them was a kit to make your own kumihimo braids using silk cords. That's how it started.

First there were new end caps, new silks, different charms to add to the beautiful braids I created. Then I expanded and bought earring findings and beads along with a nice set of basic tools. Now, fours later, I have my own studio filled with boxes of beads, charms, tools, and wire. I took a basic silver smithing class and began to make rings and take on repairs for friends and family. I learned how to needle felt flowers and make them in to brooches so added them to expanding book of ideas.
When I first opened my Etsy shop it sold only a few things I made from felt, now it's so much more with new things being added on a regular basis. I'm constantly having new ideas and learning new things so I can continue to make unique items for customers.

Welcome to Mepnar Doodad, a little shop full of big ideas. Most of my ideas happen at 3am and the result is what you find here. I try to use a lot of repurposed materials in my work and will, where possible, stick to eco friendly products sourced from small businesses.

When you're ready to check out, go to your Cart.

Choose PayPal as your payment method and click Check out with PayPal.

Note: Sellers choose what payment methods they accept. If you don't see PayPal as an option, the seller likely doesn't accept it. You may want to contact them to see if they can accommodate you.

Once You're Redirected to PayPal

1) Instead of choosing to pay with your PayPal account, select the option to pay with a debit or credit card.

2) You'll then be prompted to fill in your billing and credit card information.

3) You'll need to enter your email address so PayPal can send you a receipt.

4) Click Continue to return to Etsy Checkout to review and submit your final order.

Your payment isn't sent until you click Submit Order on Etsy.

Note: PayPal places restrictions on how often you can use their Guest Checkout feature.

Payment is due within 48 hours of purchase. If you need a little longer then please convo me and I will try and find a compromise with you.
If no payment, or convo, is received within 3 days then I reserve the right to relist the item.
Once your payment has cleared I will process your item.

If you require a custom order then I shall create a personal listing just for you and will accept installments.

If you need to cancel your order please contact me straight away. If your item has already been dispatched then you will need to return it to me before I issue you a refund. The buyer is responsible for return postage costs. If you cancel your order before it has been dispatched then you shall receive a full refund within 48 hours.
If you cancel a custom order I retain the right to withhold the total cost of materials from the total cost of the item before issuing a refund.
I ship within 3 working days, using Royal Mail, and always obtain proof of postage. For all UK orders I also send my packages as 'signed for' so I can ensure that they reach their destination. If you wish your order to be tracked then please contact me to arrange payment of any extra cost.

After dispatch UK buyers can expect their items within 3-5 working days.
After dispatch EU buyers can expect their items within 7 working days.
After dispatch the US and Canada can expect their items within 14 working days.
After dispatch Australia and New Zealand can expect their items within 14 to 28 days.
Please remember that these delivery times are only guidelines. I cannot be held responsible for problems such as bad weather or holidays, i.e. Christmas, which may cause a delay.

All items are wrapped in tissue paper and put in a small gift bag before being sent in padded envelopes to help protect them during transit.
(Coming Soon) If you wish your items sent in a gift box please purchase this separately as an add-on to your order.

All additional customs, fee, duties, import tax, or VAT is the responsibility of the customer. Failure to pay these fees may result in your item being returned to me. If this occurs then please refer to the refund policies below.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please contact me if, upon opening your purchase, your item is damaged. The item will then need to be returned to me and I can either replace, repair, or refund you the total cost including the return postage. You will need obtain proof of postage if returning the item.

If there is a problem with your order, such as the colour not being correct, please contact me and then follow the procedures below.
UK buyers: You can return and exchange your items within 14 days of dispatch. You will need to pay the return postage and please get proof of postage from your post office.
Overseas buyers: You can return and exchange your items within 28 days of dispatch. You will need to pay the return postage and please get proof of postage from your post office.

If your order hasn't arrived within 30 days please contact me and confirm your name and delivery address. I will then check with Royal Mail as to whether the parcel was delivered and signed for. If it was both delivered and signed for then I shall proceed to make enquiries with Royal Mail to revolve it.
If you supplied me with the wrong address and it had already been dispatched before you notified me then I shall refund postage costs only.

-If the postal service returns your order to me without your knowledge you will be contacted with the reason why. This can be for reasons like incorrect address (see above), no post receptacle or not collected from the local depot.
-If you no longer want the item you will be refunded the cost minus the initial postage cost.
-If you still want the item you will be refunded the cost minus the initial postage cost and you can repurchase it. This way I will receive the P&P to be able to send it out once again.
-If the item comes back twice I will message you to cancel the order with a full refund and unfortunately won't be able to send anymore.

If an item is returned to me due to the customer refusing to pay customs, fees, duties, import tax, vat or other related shipping fee specific to their country then no refund will be issued. This is the responsibility of the customer.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please note that delivery dates do not include dispatch times. For example: If your item has a delivery time of 7 days and it was posted 3 days after you bought it then it should arrive 10 days from the date of purchase.

Working, or business, days are Monday to Friday and include Saturday mornings until 12 midday. The only exception to this are national holidays and Bank holidays in the UK.

All the items I sell should be considered costume jewelry unless specifically stated in its description. In time they will oxidize which is a natural process and may cause your items to discolor or become dull. I advise that all costume jewelry be kept in a box or bag when not in use, kept dry, avoid perfumes and lotions etc coming into contact with them, and avoid wearing for prolonged periods. Please feel free to contact me with any questions on how to clean your particular piece.
