About

It Started With A Birthday Party

I needed to have an activity for my daughter's party back in 2003 and came up with a beaded memory wire bracelet - big hit with the girls!

Then in February of 2008, the unthinkable happened - I lost my sister to breast cancer. I threw myself into training for the 3-Day walk in Seattle. I created jewelry and accessories to ultimately raise over $3,000 both in 2008 and in 2009.

I was hooked (both on making jewelry and going on long walks). I took a couple of local beading and wire classes and that set my bead addiction on fire!. My husband surprised me with a glass making class, which I discovered is not my skill-set at this time, but I'm always being inspired by new techniques.

I'm a busy, stay at home mom with three kids, husband and a big, sweet, hairy, loving chocolate Labrador named Mousse (yes, as in chocolate). I love to work in my yard, go on big walks, read, and travel. My oldest two have moved out on their own, so I am at this time going through some personal and professional changes. One of the changes I'm excited about is a journey into metalsmithing. I'm already addicted to the endless ways to manipulate copper and now I'm venturing into sterling silver. My tools are growing-along with my wish list!

I'm excited for what the future will bring!
