Growing up my mom and dad instilled the thrill of hunting for one of a kind treasures to fill our home with. We spent our weekends at auctions and flea markets, and if I wasn't with them I was at my grandfather’s farm with a huge antique pole barn. I loved walking up and down the aisles of old bottles, antique glassware, and dolls. As I got older I wanted a collection I could showcase and enjoy. Growing up in a small town there was not much of a variety when it came to shopping. So I would save up my chore money and spend it at the local flea markets and auctions on unique pieces of jewelry, and ladies accessories. To this day I still wear my first pieces along with my other fabulous finds.

Over the years friends and family have asked me to find them find special pieces to add to their home and wardrobe. After years of putting smiles on their faces; I was encouraged and asked to expand my hobby into a business. In 2012 Sophia's Wonderland opened for business. This may be an e-commerce shop, but I want you to feel like you are strolling down the sidewalk of a small town, turn and step into a shaded doorway with a fabric overhang. As you push open the heavy old wood and glass door a little bell rings. From the distance, you hear a 1940s Big Band song playing, and the smell of Grandmas cookies hits your nose! As you walk through the door I step out from behind the counter with a big smile on my face and say...Welcome to Sophia's Wonderland, would you care for a cookie and a cup of hot tea or coffee? At Sophia's Wonderland, everyone is family!

Returns and exchange details
- All sales are final, although items may look perfect, they do have age and therefore all items are sold as is. All items are vintage which means 20 years and older. I make every effort to provide an accurate description of everything in my shop.

- I do my best to describe all items offered, and take detailed clear photographs. A refund may be granted on a case by case basis. I carefully note any and all issues with each item(s) and all imperfections are listed on the description.

- If an item is agreed upon to be returned for a refund/or exchange only item price will be refunded, minus shipping. Shipping is the sole responsibility of the customer. Customer must additionally purchase, and provide proof of insurance on all returned items.

- Items returned MUST be shipped and received back in the same condition that you purchased them in to receive a full refund.

- Please note all measurements on clothing and accessories. Returns are not excepted due to items not fitting. Please review sizing information below, compare the listing size, and your own size for the best fit. If you are unsure or have a question about an item, please contact me and I will be happy to answer your questions or provide additional photos.

- CANCELATION OF PURCHASE, hey we all make mistakes! If you purchased an item by mistake send me a message within the hour of purchase and I will cancel your order. There is a .50 cent cancelation fee that will be deducted from your total purchase refund price.

- CANCELATION AFTER 4 HOURS OF PURCHASE: Sophia's Wonderland excepts cancelations, but will be subject to 10% restocking. No Exceptions. We pull and ship out your items in a timely manner and will be compensated for the time spent packing your purchase you want to cancel.

- Keep in mind you are buying vintage (20 years or older). Being vintage means it has been used before, and that's what we love about it!
- If you are new to Etsy, and are unsure of the checkout process and need help figuring out how to checkout:

- Ohio Buyers, Ohio sales are subject to the appropriate state and county tax.

- I am happy to reserve an item for a 48 hour period with a Convo request. After 48 hours, payment is expected. If payment is not received item(s) will be re-listed.

- Layaway is offered on items. Generally on higher priced items. A non-refundable deposit is required, and payment is generally due in full in 30 days.
- Shipping is expensive, I am not Amazon or a big box store that receives huge shipping discounts. I can not control the increasing shipping prices. Shipping costs cover the proper box size that will securely fit your item(s) with lots of bubble wrap and padding. I take great pride in packing all items securely and safely. Just the way I would want to receive an item!

- Most purchases ship within 48 hours either by USPS First Class, Priority, Priority Flat Rate, or UPS with tracking numbers. I ship Monday thru Friday.

- For domestic orders, if you are in urgent need of your item(s) and need them sooner, please let me know before purchase. Additional charges will be incurred for expedited shipping and are the responsibility of the buyer.

- USA shipping is priced for the CONTINENTAL United States ONLY; and does not included ALASKA or HAWAII. Alaska, and Hawaii please convo for shipping to you.

- Local buyers, please note that local pickup is available for any item(s), and is always free! Just convo before purchase. We will adjust the shipping charge to zero, and after receiving payment will contact you to schedule pickup.

- International Shipping. Please contact me and I will let you know what your shipping charges will be. Shipping will vary depending on: country of origin, size, plus weight of item. I ship internationally via USPS First Class mail including insurance on items over $25.00 in value.

- Buyer is responsible for paying any and all additional charges relating to International shipping. Please make sure you are aware of these additional charges before purchasing an item(s).

- All domestic & International packages are shipped with tracking. Both are tracked until package's leave the United States. Once a package has left the U.S. the package is no longer tracked. If you want to track your package to end destination you can use UPS. UPS costs more, and is the responsibly of the customer so chooses to purchase.

- Please be advised that customers must have a secure delivery point. Sophia's Wonderland is not responsible for lost packages. All shipping carriers will not accept claims for packages missing or stolen upon completed delivery. Once USPS, or UPS makes a final delivery scan, Sophia's Wonderland is not responsible for item(s) missing from the delivery locations. No refunds or reimbursement are granted in this scenario. Buyers are responsible for filing a missing package claim with their local shipping service and/or reporting a theft to authorities.
Additional policies and FAQs

It is important to remember that vintage sizing does not compare to modern fashion. Vintage clothing was sized different, smaller, narrower, and often tailored to fit an individual. Vintage garments often show evidence of being tailored (taken in and/or out). It is possible to have a vintage garment altered to fit you if the measurements are off by a bit. If you have questions I will be happy to answer them for you.

- Vintage garments should be worn with confidence and ease. It is important to know own measurements.

- How do you tell if a garment will fit you? Measure yourself. Use a dress maker's tape measure. If you do not own one you can purchase one at most stores, or your local fabric store. It is important to measure yourself over the undergarments you plan to wear, and never over your clothing.

♥♥♥ GARMENTS ♥♥♥

BUST: Measure over the fullest part of your bust while wearing a bra (total circumference).

UNDERBUST: Measure around the fullest part of your rib cage, about midway between your bust and waist.

WAIST: Measure around the smallest point of your waist where it naturally curves in. It helps to bend side to side to identify exactly where to measure.

HIP: Measure around the fullest part of your hips. This is usually about 8"-9" below your waist, or around the seat.

HIGH HIP: Measure around the fullest part of hip, about 3" -4" below the waist. This is helpful when fitting for a narrow skirt or pants.

INSEAM: Measure from the top of your inner thigh down to the bottom of your ankle.

SHOULDER TO WAIST: Measure from the top of your shoulder, where a normal shoulder seam would lie. Measure down the front, following for the curve of your bust.

LENGTH: measure from the top of your shoulder, where a normal shoulder seam would lie, down the front, to the point you want the garment to end at the hem.

- To determine your head (hat) size, measure the circumference of your head using a dress maker's tape measure. Measure circumference of head just above the top of ears. Wrap tape gently around your head making certain dress maker's tape measure lies midway on your occipital bone (that little bump in the middle of the back of your head).
