Announcement    Thanks for visiting Soresi Ceramic, LLC on Etsy. I hope you enjoy viewing my work. Do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or requests you may have.

Pottery is a passion of mine and I've loved creating unique pieces for friends and family since I was a teenager and into my 20’s. My passion for pottery took a hiatus while perusing my degree, teaching for a few years and then while raising my daughter. I decided to start Soresi Ceramics, LLC in 2017 and to dedicate most of my creative flow to this art form. I have a BA in Early Childhood Education and was a elementary school teacher before becoming a devoted stay at home mom for 10 years.

I enjoy alternative firing techniques and my absolute favorite finishing technique is HORSEHAIR RAKU. I enjoy making these one-of-a-kind pieces for horse owners and lovers alike. The carbon imprints left behind as I burn the hair on my wheel-thrown pottery is truly remarkable and it is a very satisfying technique for me as an artist. I'm always in awe of the process and finished product.

25% of all my horsehair raku ("Custom Order Horsehair Raku Blank Canvases", and ready-made "STH Rescue Horsehair Raku" goes to Save the Horses in Cumming, GA), at this time. More Rescue may be added soon. My ready-made "STH Rescue Horsehair Raku" is made using one of the many of the horses from their farm. All hair is always humanely gathered by a trusted volunteer lead (or the owner). My daughter and I volunteer weekly and cherish our time with all the animals there.

  • Micki Soresi

    Owner, Artist

I've been working with clay and throwing on the potters wheel since I was 17. After an on and off again love affair with clay for over 23 years, I now dedicate (most of) my creative energy to this craft. I started Soresi Ceramics, LLC. in 2017.
