Announcement   Eco-friendly Krobo recycled-glass beads and handmade tribal jewelry and findings, with 100% of the proceeds going to Soul of Somanya, a non-profit offering living wage employment in the field of jewelry-making to young adults in Ghana, West Africa. Job prospects for young people without family connections and good educations are few in Ghana's rural areas. Without intervention, many young women and men end up migrating to large cities looking for work, but end up on the streets instead as prostitutes, thieves or beggars. In order to support the Krobo bead industry as a whole, we buy the beads at retail (rather than wholesale) prices for resale here and elsewhere in the global marketplace. 100% of the proceeds from all sales in this shop go to fund Soul of Somanya.

In compliance with laws governing the sale of children's products, we state here that our products are not intended for use by children 12 years old or under.

Love these African Krobo beads. I thought they were actually vintage when I saw them! Great artisan has a fantastic technique. Excellent seller. Happy to support African enterprise. Would buy again! Thanks.

Loving these copper Adinkra symbols. So many creative things I can make. Jewelry designs for men and women. I will be ordering more. I am really happy because this shop constructed a special order assortment to fill my very specific needs. This is good old fashioned customer service. I am already a repeat customer and will continue to be.

Welcome to Soul of Somanya's Etsy Shop. We operate on the Fair Trade Federation's principles. Our artisans are paid a living wage for their time, talents and efforts. Thank you for your support.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Money Order
Payment
I preferPayPal, but I also accept USPS Money Orders.
Shipping
My usual shipping method USPS First Class Parcel Post unless Priority Mail rates are lower due to the weight of the package. Feel free to request an upgrade to Priority Mail on any order for an extra $4.00. I ship within 3 business days of receipt of payment (or notice of payment clearing) unless we have made some other agreement.
Refunds and Exchanges
If any item is damaged during shipping, send me a photo or scan of the damaged item and I will refund your money. Depending on the type of damage, I may ask you to return it to me. If you are dissatisfied with the quality of your purchase, please let me know so that I can rectify the situation. I appreciate your feedback.
Additional policies and FAQs
For wholesale, consignment and custom order questions, email me. I am very flexible and am always actively on the lookout for new accounts and other ways to ensure the stability of our artisans' incomes.
