About SourwoodRidgePottery
I need to be creative
I started crocheting many years ago, and since 2014 began learning the craft of pottery. I decided to combine both interests by continuing to crochet by making wraps that incorporated my ceramic buttons, and crocheted animals to donate to "Gleaning For The World: Teddy Bear Brigade" and by making a different style ceramic yarn bowl/basket that borrows its design from nature. I love experimenting with different forms and textures. So, as a result, my Etsy shop was born!

Having many Sourwood trees growing near my home in Amherst, Virginia, and from the love of these beautiful trees, I decided to borrow the name and to use their buds for texture. My hope has been to share in the happiness that my craft has given me .
