Handmade, hand-painted wood signs and decor, made with love in sweet home Alabama.
Way back in 2008, I opened my first Etsy shop with one of my besties. We sold funky jewelry together for over five years before deciding to close our virtual doors. I have always been crafty my whole life, and my obsession with making pretty things didn't stop when my Etsy selling did. I started a teeny DIY and Home Decor blog, www.southernbluebirdday.com, where I shared our fun kitchen reno, master bath redo, and lots of seasonal decor, but I still couldn't stop making things. My own house was running out of room!
So in September of 2016, I took the plunge (again) and opened this store, selling my hand-painted signs and other designs. I am a one-woman show! Everything I make is completely hand-painted, and I never use fonts, vinyl, or stencil. All the lettering you see is in my own hand, and it's alllll me out there. Every sign is built and assembled by my own two hands in my sawdusty garage.
I have been overwhelmed with the interest in my signs, and it only makes me more excited to work on more. Thank you to all my customers for allowing me to create for you.
P.S. Southern Bluebird Day refers to a crisp, cloudless, sunny day in Bama. At least that's what my daddy always said.

I love custom orders and welcome them with open arms! I'm happy to work with you to find the exact dimensions, color scheme, and art for your sign. If you want it, I can probably paint it!
Sizing details
All dimensions for my signs are provided in the listing info. If you need a specific size, be it larger or smaller, most signs can be customized for you, just send me a message!
How are your signs made?
All of my signs are hand cut, sanded, stained and painted by me. I use a brush for all the lettering and calligraphy, never vinyl or a stencil. All art is my own hand.
