Visually Speaking...

My name is Sean Ramsey and I am a full time weather, landscape and nature photographer based in Yukon, Oklahoma. Each year I travel to different locations across the country to capture images of some of nature's most amazing and unique scenes, including intense storms, scenic mountains, serene desert landscapes and just about everything in between.

I began my journey into photography in 2009 because I had a hard time putting into words the amazing beauty I saw in storms and I wanted images that were true to what I saw and felt in the moment. Along the way it became my goal to capture the essence of life in the places I visited and tell their stories through photographs. Here you will find those stories.

Southern Plains Photography has been seen in publications such as National Geographic, Wild West and Nebraska Life Magazines as well as CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, The Weather Channel, A&E, and a 2018 USPS stamp. Over 5,000 clients from all 50 states and 20 countries around the world have chosen my work to display in their homes and professional settings, and it's my hope that you'll find something on this visit that inspires you for a long time to come as well.

Frequently asked questions
How are your prints packaged?

Prints up to 11x14 are packaged in an acid free sleeve and shipped in rigid eco-friendly mailers. Larger prints are packaged in well protected flat cartons and the largest sized prints are shipped in well protected tubes to ensure arrival in perfect condition.

What's your return policy?

Purchasing art online can be tough since you can't see it in person. That's why I have a no questions asked return policy (excludes custom orders). If you aren't satisfied with your prints for any reason please let me know and I'll do my best to correct the situation or issue a refund. I must be notified within fourteen days of delivery and the return must be made within 30 days of purchase.

How soon will I receive my artwork?

Prints are shipped within one business day and arrive within 5 business days. Overnight and 2nd Day delivery is available at checkout.

Giving as a Gift?

No worries. I don't include invoices in the shipments so the recipient will not see any pricing information.

Can I customize my artwork?

Absolutely! There are so many different ways to customize and I can fulfill just about any request. Whether it's a specific size, turning a print from horizontal to vertical, adding personalized text or quotes, changing print color to black and white, it's all possible. Feel free to send me a request by clicking the customize button or by sending a message.

What Type of Paper Do You Print On?

I print on luster photo paper. Luster gives all of the beautifully saturated colors of a glossy but doesn't have the glare and comes in a matte finish which is fingerprint resistant. Lustre photo paper is the standard when it comes to framed prints.

What if my artwork is damaged when it arrives?

It's a pretty rare occurance, but if your artwork is damaged in transit please contact me within 7 days of delivery and provide photos of the damage and I'll replace your artwork free of charge.
