About

Create. Dream. Explore. Act. This is the South Ranch.

Welcome!

My name is Becca and I am the owner, blogger, maker, seller, and marketer behind South Ranch. My love for creating, adventure, and activism has motivated me to open up shop and share my voice with the world.

South Ranch Creative sells handmade home goods, art, and wedding decor that highlight the beauty in the old, the natural, and the rediscovered. I have a passion towards the history and tradition of my work, be it the story behind the vintage saws I paint or the dedication to learning traditional calligraphy. I hope to bring these wonderful stories that exist within tradition and vintage objects and give them a new life in the modern day.

Although my education is in graphic design, you might say that I didn’t exactly “fit in” to your classic design agency lifestyle; I wanted to do something that was more meaningful to myself. This means working for nonprofits and not giant corporate agencies, for individuals of passion and not companies just wanting to sell you something. This means making the happiest day of someone’s life just a little more special, or creating work out of found, recycled, or reclaimed materials instead of buying new. It is important to me to make active, conscious decisions about what I do, how I act, and who I support.

I am also a dreamer. You might say that I am an optimist to a fault, and I will affectionately take that description in stride. I am always thinking about the possibilities and hoping for a better future. Lastly I'm an adventurer. Adventures aren’t restricted to a location, time, or distance from home and that’s what makes them so mysterious and alluring. They are best unplanned and unmapped.

Create. Dream. Explore. Act. These are the elements that make up the heart and soul of South Ranch Creative.

As always, live creatively.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

South Ranch Creative is happy to personalize most products in the shop or create a custom order of something you don't see in the shop. Due to the nature of this work, custom items will have a longer processing time than similar items you see listed in the shop. Please let me know if there is a specific date you need an item by and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.

Care instructions (wood)

| coasters + ornaments |

Clean with a damp cloth, using a small amount of soap if necessary. Dry immediately. Avoid scrubbing the natural bark edge [if applicable] as trying to clean it too vigorously may cause pieces of the bark to break.

Care instructions (art and prints)

| original illustrations + prints |

Keep out of direct sunlight. Framing the art/print under glass or acrylic will help protect the work and can also reduce sun-fading.

Care instructions (cornhole bags)

These bags are filled with real whole corn so care should be taken to store these bags dry at all times. Store indoors or under shelter when not in use. They are not washable, and spot cleaning is not recommended.

Playing on rough surfaces like asphalt, rough concrete, and gravel may decrease lifespan of bags (the rough surfaces rubbing against the fabric will wear away the fibers and ink quicker over time). Playing on grass and smooth floors is recommended for best results, although grass may stain the bags, particularly if it has recently been cut. While these tips will help you keep your bags in good condition, it is a yard game, so don't worry about the bags looking perfect forever!
