About

Dedicated to dead professions !

At an estate sale one day I stumbled across some strange looking tools. It took a bit, but eventually I figured what they were and I bought them all. Later I went to a leather store to buy a small strip of leather, but I left with half a cow strapped to my bike. No looking back.

With this Etsy store I continue my life quest to learn the skills and techniques of all the jobs that are gone to time and never coming back, leathersmith, cooper, blacksmith, cobbler, woodworker.

Shop policies

Last updated on January 5, 2014
I just want to make things. I hope that they are things people like and use. I don't believe that I am going to do this as a job, but I hope to keep the hides coming and build my tools and techniques through this online shop. I am not a factory and I can not compete on price. I want to create value by personalizing items for individuals. If you see an item you like please contact me so we can discuss it, and make it for you.

Shipping
I try and ship everything as cheaply as possible. If there is any kind of rush or if you have a preferred shipping method, just let me know. If you buy the shipping I will do it your way. I try to ship for free to anyone in the US, because I don't care for policies that try and obscure the full costs of goods and services, but I do have some items that have shipping costs.

I can not refund custom work unless it is defective. Non custom items can be sent back if they are unused and I will return your payment minus my postage cost. Please contact me to discuss items before purchase. I am happy to answer questions. you can even call me up on the phone. I am a polite and patient person.

Leather should be kept dry and not exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time. If you have any questions about how you might want to care for your particular leather goods please contact me and I will share my experience with the goods.
