I purchase as often as I can from Sparrow and Joy -- this bag was a pure indulgence for myself and I couldn't be happier. The quality of the fabrics and stitching is simply above the rest and I will enjoy this for years to come. I have a smaller bag of her's that I bought several years back and I use it every single day, carrying way too much around in it. It still holds up like a champ even through the need to wash often in the pacific northwest. The photos on this product do not do the actual bag justice in person, it is so lovely, light and airy -- I look forward to using it extensively. Arrived super quickly and in fabulous packaging that made me feel like I had gotten a gift from an old friend in the mail delivery.

Sending a Bit of Fabric Happiness Your Way

Here at Sparrow + Joy, I combine unique and whimsical fabric combinations to make unique goodies that will express your personal style. My items tend to fluctuate between sweet and girly to mod and nature-inspired. I have always loved birds and wanted to be an Ornithologist when I was younger. I went to school for it and then...couldn't do the math! So when I am not looking through binoculars or at bird books, I am incorporating them into my favorite pastime--sewing!

I've been sewing since 2007 (when I learned about Etsy, opened a shop, and found the beauty of sewing and selling handmade items!) and receive such pleasure from making things with my hands.

My inspirations:

* Designs and patterns found in God's beautiful Creation
* Growing up near the Canadian border (1.5 hours from Montreal, Quebec), I was influenced by French-Canadian styles and fashions--bright, bold looks with feminine undertones.
* Artistic women who live unique and colorful lives!
* Anything old-fashioned, simple, and functional

Have fun browsing my various items such as wallets, zip pouches, tissue cozies, handbags, wristlets and much more!

I hope you find something you like in my store. And thank you for supporting handmade!

"These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full." ~Jesus Christ <3

Dry Cleaning is the preferred method of washing for our bags.
If you can't dry clean then we suggest hand washing/spot cleaning with a mild detergent like Woolite and allowing to air dry. The fabric handbags will require a med to high iron after it's dry. Using tissue or a towel inside the bag while drying will help keep its shape, too.

We typically order fabrics and other materials in small amounts because we think that makes our products more unique and ever changing. If you see something you like, but you would love to get it in another fabric you've seen in our shop feel free to email us the suggestion.
