sparrowgrey's Shop Policies
Welcome to sparrowgrey! I'm very "Conversation" friendly and I swear I don't bite, so if you have any questions about my items, ordering, checking out or anything in between, feel free to contact me. I'll be more than happy to help out however I can.
If you're new to purchasing on Etsy, check out this tutorial for some help: http://www.etsy.com/help_guide_checkout.php
Payment should be made within 48 hours of checkout. I can only accept payments made through Paypal (either with debit or credit card). If you don't have a Paypal account but would like to check out with a credit card, here's a tutorial on how to do so: http://www.etsy.com/blog/en/2007/how-to-pay-with-a-credit-card-and-create-a-paypal-account/
Payment in full must be recieved before I can ship an order so if you have any problems checking out, you can contact myself or Etsy admin.
Any orders which go unpaid for 5 days or more will be cancelled and the item will be re-listed unless the buyer has contacted me.
Most of the items in my shop are made to order so I typically ship orders 2-3 business days after receiving payment.
Items are shipped via Canada Post. Shipping times vary between 2-5 business days in Canada to 5-10 business days internationally. Please keep in mind, however, that these are estimates only. These estimates are provided to me by Canada Post and cannot be guaranteed.
If your order needs to arrive faster than the aforementioned times, feel free to contact me and I can upgrade your shipping. Depending on how quickly you need to receive your order, an additional fee may be required.
I will ship to the address you supply Etsy upon checkout.
Please note that all taxes, duties and customs fees associated with international shipping are the responsibility of the buyer.
"Packages whose declared value is under $200 ($100 if being sent as a gift to someone other than the purchaser) will generally be cleared without any additional paperwork prepared by CBP (Customs and Border Protection). --- However, CBP always reserves the right to require a formal entry for any importation and generally exercises this option if there is something unusual about the importation, or if important documents such as an invoice or bill of sale do not accompany the item."

Refunds and Exchanges
Customer satisfaction is top priority. If you are unsatisfied with your item, please contact me and I will do my best to satisfy your request. If you don't love the item, I do accept returns as long as you contact me within a reasonable amount of time of receiving the item.
In the event that you are unsatisfied or if there is damage to the item, kindly contact me so that I can try to correct the problem before leaving negative feedback. Unless the items are damaged upon arrival, I cannot except returns or give refunds. I do offer complimentary repairs if you wish to cover the costs of shipping to mail the item to me.
I can supply a new chain for any items which are damaged following your purchase. Mistakes happen, so don't worry about it. Typically a new sterling silver chain for a necklace will be around $15.
Additional Policies and FAQs
Cleaning and care of your sterling silver and raw brass jewelry:
Sterling silver may tarnish when exposed to the elements. Storing your jewelry in plastic baggies will help slow oxidation. For long-lasting shine on your jewelry, use these easy and natural cleaning methods:
For light tarnish, a jewelry polishing cloth can be used. For heavier tarnish, line a heatproof bowl with aluminum foil (or use an aluminum pan). Add two tablespoons of baking soda and about a cup of boiling water. Carefully submerge the sterling silver and stir. Let sit until bright. Rinse with cool water and dry with a soft cloth.
There are also a number of jewelry cleaners on the market that may be purchased at your local department store. If you have any questions about cleaning, feel free to contact me!
Please be aware that communication via e-mails and conversations usually takes place during business hours. Replies on weekends and holidays especially may be limited.
