About

creative business advice - for artists, by an artist

This is a shop about you, your story, your product and your customer.

This is a place for creative makers and artists who are tired of business advice telling you to 'make what sells', follow trends, get wholesale accounts. A place for artists who aren't interested in making $50k selling iphone covers or drop-shipping t-shirts.

I specialise in coaching those who make one-of-a-kind, limited edition and high creative products. Why? Because no one else is doing it, and because that's what I know! I sold assemblage jewelry for 6 years, and if I do say so myself, my shop never struggled; I had something people could connect to - and as a maker of unique goods, so do you.

You might be a painter or sculptor, textile artist, jewelry maker, ceramicist or carpenter. Maybe you make glassware or dolls; you might do patchwork bags or altered clothing, paper collage or kooky hats.

Whatever it is, the one thing you all have in common is you live your work. What you do is an inextricable part of you. It’s your heart and soul, 24/7. Your work is who you are. All you need is a clear brand, engaging social media and desirable goods. I know you've got the desirable goods - and the rest... well, that's where I come in.

For the last 6 years I've soaked up every blog post, ebook, YouTube, webinar and podcast I could get my hands on. I became possessed by the desire to create a new way of selling, one that suits those who sell properly unique stuff. And I did it - my method works. I've tested it in shops, experimented on generous friends, helped out all over the forums and even hijacked an Etsy bootcamp when the team leaders went AWOL.

I'm not a business person. I don't have an MBA, I have a BA (painting/photography). I've been an artist all my life, and I know how the artist's mind works. Most business advice for handmade shops treats you like a business-minded person who wants to sell crafts. I treat you as I know you are - a visionary maker who just wants to tell their story. (and get paid for it!)

If you'd like to know my personal story on how I came to be here, you can read it here in my profile!
