Each handwoven piece is made with 22 distinct production steps, every one of which is done by my hands, from beginning to end.

Other pieces, such as the beadwork, the gem and mineral collage work, and rag-silk tapestry weaving are also my original handmade creations, designed and made entirely by me.

The threads and fibers were mostly bought from wholesale sources aimed at limited-production upscale and couture clothing designers, dressmakers, quilters and decorators.

Most of the beads are reclaimed and repurposed from antique and vintage jewelry, or from trade shows and similar outlets.

I have also salvaged and upcycled rag-silk, variety and designer yarns, and a wide assortment of "precious fibers" such as cashmere, alpaca and mohair, from antique and vintage textile sources.

Handmade paper, resins, sealers, paints and other treatments are from ecologically sound manufacturers whenever possible, and all processes and manufacturing steps have been carried out in my smoke-free studio/workshop.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
All custom made items are non-returnable, and non-exchangeable.

Other purchases are non-refundable, but may be exchanged if they are returned within 10 days of purchase. You, the customer, are responsible for all shipping, packaging and insurance expenses.

Items that are returned damaged, obviously used, or that fail to arrive at all will not be refunded or exchanged.

Exchanges will only take place after the returned item has been received in an undamaged condition, within specified time limits, and with timely notification and confirmation of this arrangement.
I accept payments through PayPal, and require that payment be made in full within 3 business days of purchase request, unless other arrangements have been agreed upon in advance.
Purchased items must be paid for in full before shipping will take place.
I ship all items within 2 business days of receiving payment in full, unless the item is a custom order, or unless other arrangements have been made.
All pieces are sent to you in new individual gift boxes with a cotton liner inside, and then are shipped inside a padded envelope.
Whenever possible, I re-use exterior boxes for shipping large orders with multiple pieces inside.

Gift wrapping is available for an additional charge of $1 per item.

Custom orders are welcome. All custom made items are non-returnable, and non-exchangeable. I am perfectly happy to email digital photos of work in progress, with scale reference to show size, to assure you that custom items are being made to your specifications.

If you wish to cancel a transaction, please do so before shipping takes place, or you are responsible for the shipping charges as well as the return shipping of the item.
I will acknowledge orders and payments when I receive them. I check email twice each day, but sometimes delays happen, so please be patient, I will get back with you as soon as possible.

All shipped items will be sent out first class, USPS, unless otherwise specified. Priority and higher shipping arrangements are available, with customer responsibility for the difference in cost.
All shipped merchandise will be insured for replacement value, and this is already included in shipping charges.
If there are delays or losses in shipping, please let me know as soon as you are aware of a problem, so that I can submit the insurance claim in a timely manner, and replace your item.
Any customs fees or currency exchange fees and differences that may be incurred by foreign and overseas shipping are the responsibility of the customer.
I will also notify you by email when I ship your package.
I request that you also notify me when your package arrives, and request that you leave feedback on items that you have received.
Additional policies and FAQs
I welcome wholesale transactions with businesses that provide a tax ID number, or a retail license number. Your business must be a compatible type, such as a gallery or boutique. Minimum requirement for such a transaction is either 6 pieces or $200. All the same payment, shipping and exchange requirements apply.
