Quality Handmade Goods from a Life in the Adirondacks
Welcome to Lord & Belisle! In this new year, I wanted a new beginning for my shop. Just after midnight on January 1st, 2015, I changed my shop name from Squirrel on a Ledgetop to a name that honors my two Grandmothers. They were both seamstresses in their own right. Each of them had seven children and would sew up a storm for their families. One of them loved to quilt, make stuffed animals, and repair clothing. The other loved to sew everything from scratch, from formal dresses to wash cloths! Missing them both so very much, I decided it was fitting to rename the shop after them.
I'm streamlining the shop, getting rid of the eclectic mix in order to focus on a more cohesive style. I'm also going to stick with linen as the main fabric that I work with.
I truly believe in a handmade product! I do everything here in the shop. I design my products, make the patterns, cut the fabric, sew the products, photograph them, list them, package them, and ship them! The end result, I believe, is a high quality product that you'll be proud to have in your home!
From my farmhouse in the Adirondacks to your home with love!
Thank you for supporting Handmade!

Owner, Maker, Designer, Photographer, Lover Of Sewing Machines
I learned to sew by watching my Memere at her sewing machine while I was growing up. She would give me a needle and thread and encourage me to make my own creations. That early love of sewing has decided to stay for life!
I don't skimp on the details! Pillows are lined and the inside seems are overcast to prevent fraying.
I have an eclectic kind of style that influences me to create a diverse collection of beautiful handmade goodies!
♥Everything made with love!♥
Please read these policies before purchasing so that we are on the same page, because I want you to be a happy customer for life! Thanks!
