Stylish & Practical Accessories for Babies and Toddlers!

Hello! My name is Britteny and I am the creator and owner behind Squishy & Bean. I am a stay-at-home mama to two little ones. My jelly Bean, Noah, and my little Squishy girl, Amelia, are the inspiration behind my little shop!

My children have been both the reason and the inspiration for my designs. I have always loved sewing, but my time for it and my passion for it really tapered off after I started university. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I bought a new sewing machine and decided to try making some things for my toddler and for our new baby. It reignited the spark in my creativity, and I have been sewing ever since. I mainly started making receiving blankets and crib blankets, but when my daughter was about 2 months old I came up with my dribble bib design as a solution to our drooling and spit up problem. I just never found a bib that had all the features I wanted: stylish, absorbent, not too big, etc., so I ended up making my own.

In the winter of 2017, near the end of my maternity leave, I started to seriously think about sharing my designs with others. I enjoyed making them, and I knew other mamas out there could benefit from them just like me. I knew I wouldn’t be returning to work, and this meant that I would actually have the time to invest in creating a business. It’s been a long process of creating stock and getting everything set up online, but here we are! Being able to do something that allows me to contribute financially to my family, express my creativity, help other mamas, and spend time with my little ones is what this adventure is all about!

Why did my order come in 2 packages?

Depending on the size of your order, you order may come in 2 or more packages. All orders within Canada are shipped via Canada Post letter mail, unless you have chosen and paid for upgraded shipping. Letter mail has very specific requirements for size and weight, and larger orders will not fit letter mail all together. In order to keep shipping costs low for our customers, sometimes these larger orders need to be separated into 2 packages. These packages are all shipped at the same time. All orders that have paid for upgraded shipping will come in one single package.

Is there tracking or insurance on my package?

If you have chosen standard shipping, no there is no tracking or insurance. Lettermail offers no additional insurance, and I am not liable for lost or stolen packages. If you have paid for upgraded shipping, you package WILL include insurance and a tracking number.

I've marked my order as a gift, what does this do?

1) If you put the recipients info into the shipping, I can ship your gift directly to them. Invoices are not included with the package, and instead a note telling them that they are receiving a gift and who it is from is included with their items.

2) If you mark it as a gift and have it sent to yourself, no note or invoice is included with your order.

The packaging of your order will not change if you mark gift or not.

I entered the wrong address and my package was lost/delivered to the wrong address. Can I get a refund?

If you notice you entered the wrong address and your order HASN'T shipped, we would be happy to correct it before sending. However, once your order is shipped, it is out of our hands and we cannot change its destination. It is the customers responsibility to ensure their address is correct when checking out. No refunds will be given for orders sent with incorrect addresses. Sorry!

I've changed my mind about my Custom Order. Can I get a refund?

By the time a custom order is placed, we've already begun work on your product. We don't set up a custom listings until we've done the preliminary work to narrow down exactly what you are looking for. Because we've already used our time and resources to work on your requests, refunds will not be offered for custom orders once they have been placed.

Custom and personalised orders

Custom orders are accepted on a case by case basis depending on our current work load and if we are able to take on the project. You are welcome to inquire about a custom order at any time, but please note that we may not always be able to take on your request.

How do you ship my items?

All items shipped within Canada are shipped via Canada Post oversized Lettermail. Lettermail does NOT include tracking or insurance.
