About

Handmade baby accessories for your little Squishy

Squishy Couture is named after my beautiful daughter. As soon as I found out I was pregnant, my brother nicknamed the baby Squishy. She still answers to it now, at 9 years old.

So, how did this all come about? One day, out of the blue, a woman at my day job gave me a giant bag of yarn. I had never even held a crochet hook in my life. I took it all to my grandmother and said "Teach me your ways, oh wise one."

She taught me the most basic stitch, and sent me on my way to practice. It didn't take me long to master it, and eager to learn more until I could see her again, I started searching the internet for videos. I was instantly hooked (pun totally intended). 90% of what I know was self taught through endless hours of trial and error.

I have always adored newborn photography, and after growing up in my mother's bridal shop, retail is in my blood. Nothing is sweeter than a brand new baby, and those first photographs are priceless. I am honored that so many parents and photographers have chosen to make me part of that. It is my goal to make products worthy of your keepsake box.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

I love to create custom orders! Please contact me to let me know the details of what you're thinking, and we'll go from there! Most of my items can be created in different colors.

Care instructions

Gently handwash in cool water. Do not twist or wring your item. Place on a towel and roll it up to remove excess water. Dry flat.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I wrap all my items in tissue paper and tie with a bow. I'm happy to include a gift message. Just let me know what you would like it to say in the notes to seller at checkout. A packing slip is never included, so your recipient won't know the cost, however I do include a branded business card.
