This is an amazing pattern. My only changes were to use a blanket stitch instead of a backstitch on the non-wing parts when finishing. My eyes are getting to the point where I could not do the black on black neatly enough (I might need stronger reading glasses though). Still, I love how it looked, and will be getting more patterns from this designer.

This is an excellent pattern. I have made two so far, one for a friend and one for myself. My friend was utterly charmed. The one change I might make in future is to sew down one side of the tail feathers- but that's just me.

My name is Kelli Rinta, and my mom is Greta, and we are the designers behind Squishy-Cute Designs. We both have such a passion for designing and creating, that starting our own creative business of some kind sounded like a really fun venture that we could do together. We weren't entirely sure what we wanted to do, but starting in 2009 we created our first plushie pattern, Frankie the Fish. And after making Frankie, we thought about creating even more plushie patterns, and eventually decided it was what we should focus our shop on and we started our own pattern company, Squishy-Cute Designs!
