5 out of 5 starsThis is the 3rd time purchasing Squishy Dough. My girls LOVE this stuff and so do I!! It smells great, the color doesn’t stain and it lasts for a long while and so far the “old” stuff never dried out before we went to purchase new stuff. Well worth the price and any wait. :)

BACKSTORY
Squishy Dough was incorporated in 2014, but really started over a decade ago when my son was a toddler. This little bundle of snuggles, laughs and giggles was not so full of joy when it was time to eat. He whined, yelled and was clearly not happy. Little did I know it, but he actually had a food aversion. As a new mom, I couldn’t wrap my head around it. When I grew up, fresh air and fresh food was the life - happiness at the table was just how we rolled. Now, as the mom in charge, I had no idea what to do to.
So, we started to play. And research. I discovered that for some kiddos, there’s a relationship between messy play and a willingness to try new foods. Wait, what?!? Play + food = growth? Umm, that would have been nice to know before hand. I'm just sayin'.
Ok! Let's get ready for some messy play then! <--- (ok, that sentence made me roll my eyes). Messy play rocks, but the idea of paints, rice, shaving cream and pasta all over my house every day was kinda more than I could take. The amount of time it takes to setup, prep and cleanup is like 600 times longer than they actually play. #amiright
So I found play dough. Something I can get out, minimal mess, and pack away for tomorrow. Winning! But the store-bought stuff is just not for me and dries out so fast! So, I tried making my own and it was AWESOME! And my son loved it.
With plenty of opportunities to experiment, my “picky eater” gradually transformed and was consistently willing to try new foods (even veggies). Hooray!
WHAT SETS SQUISHY DOUGH APART?
It's scented play dough with every color having it's own scent. Galaxy Dough is a favorite because it smells like a grape lollipop and has just the right glitters to mimic the night sky.
We've also created fun activities to go with them. Busy Buckets are great sellers and are offered in a variety of themes as well as seasonal buckets that are great open-ended sensory play.
Our custom party favors are so unique, and a great custom item at a good price.
GIVING BACK
We're most proud of the donations to organizations that support kids… Autism, human trafficking and kids with cancer are the top causes we believe in helping as often as possible. We're quick to donate cash, products and offer special promotions whenever possible.

Frequently asked questions
How long does the dough last?
We recommend replacing at around 6 months after purchase.
Many customers find it is still in excellent condition even after a year or more, but it will vary based on your location (humidity levels) and how often you use it.
What's in it?
Flour, salt, coconut oil, cream of tartar, food coloring and edible fragrance.
Non-toxic, Contains Wheat.
Edible fragrance? What's that?
We have different ways to make our dough smell amazing. We use a variety of sources, including: baking flavors, lip balm flavors and essential oils.
If you're not sure about a specific scent, ask us.
Every jar is labeled with its ingredients making gift giving easy.
Can you eat it?
No, it is for playing only, not eating.
Squishy Dough is made with all edible ingredients, however due to the salt content, it cannot be considered edible. And it tastes super gross.
Will it dry out?
It takes SO MUCH longer for this dough to dry out compared to store bought. But, If left uncovered, yes it will eventually dry out. The great news is that you can reconstitute dried dough with just water! We even give you instructions how to do it.
Each purchase comes with a Dough Care Card so that you can bring it back to squishable softness if it dries or stiffens.
Will it stain hands or homes?
Nope.

How long until it ships?
Most orders will be made, packaged and ready to ship within 3 -5 business days. Custom orders can take up to 7 business days.
We make dough all the time and most products are well stocked in our studio.

Do you refund shipping overages?
Absolutely!
Etsy is great at figuring out shipping, but sometimes it works out cheaper once it goes to the scale, or we can use a Flat Rate Box for multiple items.
