Announcement
Convo me if you're interested in commissioning a custom embroidery - I prefer animals and food imagery but am open to other requests. Most of what I've done is pet portraits, convo to see examples.
And for a silly diversion, visit my cat Linus at http://linusinhats.tumblr.com

4 out of 5 starsBeautiful. I should have kept it for myself but my giftee loved it so much! Damn kindness prevented me from keeping it. Will not mistake same mistake twice. 🤣

5 out of 5 starsA gift for my husband to remind him to follow his red balloon - but not if they are associated with clowns. He loves it! It's beautiful.

About squishythings
making stuff.
Dyeing scarves was a natural expansion on dyeing fabric for some of my other projects. Scarves are small and great for experimenting, which is why the scarves in my shop have so many different patterns and colors!
I have been drawing all of my life. I preferred drawing with ink, because I like not being able to easily erase mistakes, and love making heavy, dark lines. The free motion capability of my sewing machine is analogous to this kind of drawing - it's just moving the paper instead of the pen! Originally I did tiny sketches with ribbon hangers, but as I became more comfortable I began making larger pieces and incorporating color with gouache and watercolors.
