MARBLE QUEEN

Brooklyn, New York

Top shop for gifts.

Announcement    Hello!
You can find some original hand-made designs here.
I design and sew everything out of my Brooklyn studio.
Most sizes are Small, but custom orders are always welcome.

Many of the fabrics and trims I use have been saved from the dumpster.
(They weren't actually IN the dumpster...but they would've been.)
I love vintage, especially 70's fashion.
Many of my designs are inspired from my grandmother's old sewing patterns.
I am constantly developing my craft, and I strive to create custom, well tailored, well-made garments out of interesting and quality sustainable fabrics.
Support local independent designers who hustle for the love of their trade.
XO.

I love tailored clothing and loud plaids. I like bold stripes and funky mod 70's inspired designs. I adore big buttons and snaps and huge notched collars. I have a passion for exaggerated details with a minimalistic effect. I like subtle interesting design elements that make a piece a little bit more adventurous. My enjoyment is in making people happy to stand out of a crowd.

Shipping
All items are shipped first class USPS mail.
I ship internationally, just contact me and I'll change the listing and tell you how much I'll charge.
It is generally a little more for international shipping. The reason I will charge more is because i must go to the post office to fill out custom forms, which is no easy task in NYC. That, and it just costs more.
Additional policies and FAQs
CUSTOM ORDERS:
You are paying for a hand-made one-of-a-kind original design.
Custom orders do not come cheap.
Here's why:
I create every pattern, pick every fabric/notion, stitch every seam, and tailor the garment to your measurements.
I have a social life and a full-time job as well. :D
For custom-made clothing please allow 1-2 weeks.
(Or depending on my schedule...sometimes 3)
If you like a particular design I can shop around and send you a few swatch options.
I like working with what people are interested in.

FABRIC:
Most of the fabrics I buy are overruns from expensive designer textile mills in Italy.
I ONLY buy quality fabric and trims.
I love silk shantung, wools, natural cottons and jerseys, brushed cotton twills, loud plaids, stripes, and patterns. You are paying for quality fabric.
