Greetings from Santa Cruz, California. Since 1994 I have been exploring printmaking - the process of pushing ink into paper. My training in Scientific Illustration is evident in my choice of subjects - landscapes, plants and critters though I'm not one to shy away from an abstract. My work ranges from monoprints to multiple edition etchings and methods include drypoint etching on zinc and copper, acid line etch, aquatint, chine colle, carborundum and polyester lithography.

5 out of 5 starsThe Hush series is delightful. I had a question about color and Stacy was so helpful. I highly recommend her work and working with her.

5 out of 5 starsI have collected Stacy's artwork for at least 20 years. Her subject matter and her beautiful sense of line and color are very personal and amazing. I bought this for our dog sitters whose business name is Robin's Nest. It will be a holiday gift for them. I especially love her dog prints and have several I've collected from Open Studios locally. This piece arrived in beautiful condition and quickly. I highly recommend this artist. She continually produces high quality work. Thank you!

Hand-pulled prints with a natural history focus.
I am lucky enough to have a studio right in my back yard! After spending years using the print facilities at local colleges it was time to set up my own work space. Through a number of fortunate events a Griffin IV press came into my world - weighing a ton with a large printing bed it is the center of my studio. Large flat files are glass-topped and are used to roll out ink for my printing. Sliding glass doors and windows provide fresh air and a view of our garden replete with bird feeder, Mexican sage and California Poppies.

Since 1994 I have been enjoying printmaking. The natural world is my main subject, even in my abstract work. Various printmaking techniques - drypoint, collagraph, etching and lithography are used to create my unique prints.
