Creative Roots

Hello, I’m Stacy Leigh!

I grew up, and live on a farm in the Midwest. We were a resourceful family and grew or made a lot of what we needed so early in my life I learned the joy of “making/creating” things.

I began working with leather in 2006. I made my 1st bags with some leather upholstery scraps I had using my Grandmother’s sewing machine. I was so thrilled to find something to make that I enjoyed and loved so much! I love hunting for vintage textiles to upcycle into new creations. Most items are made without a pattern from small quantities of leather and my textile “finds”.

I have truly been blessed and enjoy life with my 4 dogs; Buddy One (a senior Jack Russell), Buddy Two, Sammy, and Brody (beagles). My African Grey parrot Milo just turned 25. He keeps things quite upbeat! I love gardening, walks with my dogs, cooking, attending our small country church, hiking and foraging, audio books, movies, and antiquing for vintage materials I can use in new bags.

I recently turned a small portable building into a hand sewing, nature observing, studio where I can get inspired and work on projects. Life is good here in Missouri and I’m grateful for everyday that I can put my talents to use.

    I started designing and making leather bags in 2006. I'm self taught and very blessed to be able to do what I love. It truly is the delight of my heart to be able to create. I enjoy making each bag on our family farm in Missouri.

Returns and exchange details
I want you to be happy with your purchase. I do aim to please the customer. I love what I do and want you to too! If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact me right away (with in 3 days of delivery). After you have contacted me, send it back and I will issue you a refund, minus my shipping costs, when I receive the return. Item must be in original condition and buyer is responsible for return shipping. Money will be refunded within 48 hours of receiving the returned item.

Missouri residents: State sales tax is 5.475% and will be added in checkout.
Domestic (US) I ship with USPS and use delivery confirmation. I will send you a shipping notice with the tracking #.
