bringing stained glass into the 21st century
It all started back in Normandy, France, where I lived for 2 years. During that time I was a motion graphic designer. Not finding any way of output for my love of videogames and crafts I took a gamble: I closed my laptop, bought my first pair of glass sheets and crafted some Mario inspired mushroom powerups. Soon the internet went wild and Stained Glass Geek was born. Sometimes I still can't believe it was only november 2016 when my Etsy store exploded just before Christmas. Today Stained Glass Geek exists of a team of dedicated, geeky and crafty people. Together we also hire interns so we can educate a new generation of stained glass workers. Sharing the love for this ancient craft alongside our passion for nowadays art and geekyness. We are far from finished and are still in the start-up phase however: We already created over 700 unique items sold throughout the entire world.
Next step for us would be to grow a bit more to provide a steady income for 3 persons so we can start giving stained glass classes. All to inspire a new generation for this great craft and remember our fellow geeks how to work with your hands in today's digital world
