About

An exploration of cute, monstrous, and kitsch.

Where did the unicorns come from? And why are they so stinking small?

Once upon a time, a procrastinating college student ran away from her homework, cut a far too tiny piece of fabric out, and designed the first pocket unicorn, affectionately named Agnes. Agnes loved to socialize, so Sharon had to make her many friends. Many many friends. Unfortunately many of Sharon's friends liked Agnes's friends so much that they wanted to keep them forever. Sharon and Agnes agreed that it would be acceptable to share her friends with the world.

A whole bunch of little monsters and polymer clay creations later, Sharon began to revisit the art of crocheting. Once again, she started small, crocheting and felting the pocket narwhal. But then she realized that she would like to hug the narwhal. And that's hard when it's about two inches long. So she made a giant narwhal. And then a whole lot more.

As a lover of cuteness and coziness, Sharon continuously pursues the art of the soft and adorable. Welcome to Starlike.
