About

Passion Drives Success

My story began in 2004 when I embarked on a new adventure as a stay-at-home mother. Like so many parents, I wanted to be with my children and work from home. I was always interested in art which fueled my desire to pick up a paintbrush.

Many late nights and early mornings (with an ample supply of coffee) were dedicated to watching art tutorials and learning how to paint in acrylic while my children slept. It wasn’t long after, I decided to trade in my acrylic paint for a Wacom Tablet.

As my skill improved, the subject of my paintings evolved into fantasy and whimsical characters. Inspired by Norman Rockwell, Beatrix Potter and early 19th century children’s books, my characters are reminiscent of a time long ago and capture a feeling of happiness and intrigue.

Now that my children are of school age, I have returned to teaching and am pursuing a career as an Elementary Art Teacher. Children serve as a constant source of inspiration and remind me to laugh often and live each day with this motto - "mind in service of the heart."

Animals and nature are very dear to me. It is important to me that we teach children to value and respect life in all forms. This message is reflected in my art which is the reason animals are a recurring theme.

It has also served as my motivation for working on a children’s book beginning with the story from my illustration titled, “Miss Tittles.” It starts with a curious rabbit and her discovery of a dragon’s egg. A series of short stories that will eventually include many of the characters in my shop.

Painting has brought me immense personal satisfaction and served as a creative outlet to help take away the stress of those crazy days every parent must face. It is a challenge juggling teaching, running an art business and raising a family as a single parent. I draw strength on the many wonderful emails from fans who felt inspired to share their excitement with me upon stumbling across my art to keep moving forward and creating.

I will try to process orders sooner than later - I am also a mom to 4 wonderful kiddos and a high school art teacher which may delay me in filling orders in a more timely manner. All orders are shipped via First Class Mail. If you need an item shipped faster, please email me and I will send you an invoice with Priority Mail shipping price.

First Class Mail takes between 3-5 business days to reach you. For International Orders, I ship via USPS Intl. First Class Mail which takes between 5-7 business days.

My store is set up for you to combine shipping and receive a nice shipping discount. I charge a very reasonable low price for shipping individual and multiple sales.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS AND INCREASED BORDER SECURITY: Due to the increased border security, I have discovered that some of my customers are experiencing a 4 - 6 week delay in receiving their packages. Unfortunately, this is completely out of my control. My customers who live outside of the UK and Australia are more prone for these lengthy delays. Please be patient as this is out of my hands and lies with your Customs Dept.
