Beautiful earrings. They were exactly the size I requested, and they arrived sooner than expected.

Hammer, fire and anvil are my main tools in creating heritage buckles, belts and jewelry.
My name is Erica and I have been blacksmithing for 19 years. I apprenticed for about six years with a variety of talented master smiths, mostly learning the craft through traditional smithing techniques, making gates, railings and lighting. I opened Steel Toe Studios in 2003 in the grimy Georgetown neighborhood in Seattle, and have been making belt buckles and belts ever since. Since having a child and massively reducing the craft shows I participated in, I developed a jewelry line based on the look of my buckles, using the same techniques but in a micro scale. I sell my work online, at a few craft shows a year and at the Pike Place Market in Seattle. I also occasionally teach workshops at schools like Penland School of Craft in North Carolina and Haystack in Maine, and am planning on teaching workshops out of my own private studio.
I find profound satisfaction in making work by hand, slowly and carefully, with the intention that they become pieces that are handed down to future generations.
We strive to contribute modern, handmade, unique accessories to the indie fashion world, and to do it in a way that is conscientious and sustainable. Our work is produced with the highest regard to finish, quality crafstmanship and sustainable practices.
