Living a creative life
Stephanie Giesen-Kath: Wife + Mom of 2 sets of twins + designer/owner of stelie+co.
Growing up, I buried myself in my sketch book. I drew formal wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses + house plans. One could say my path was sketched out from the beginning - I was born to design stationery + wedding invitations and work from home!
In college, I studied interior design and combined it with retail. After graduation, I found myself working at an architecture firm designing retail and restaurants. (Every girls dream = Shopping + Food!) My experience working with presidents and CEO’s of companies all over the world helped shape my eye and taught me that details and meticulous execution are keys to success. I took that experience to a large retail corporation working in planning/designing of store interiors.
In 2008, after the birth of my first set of twins, I took a leap of faith to stay at home with my kids and grow Stelie Designs now stelie+co. Who says we can’t do it all? In addition to my stationery business, I design custom invitations and corporate branding.
