About

What can I say? I love fabric.

The short story is that I had been hoarding fabric and wanted to give some of my fabrics a better home. I also had an interest in making African print fabrics available in smaller quantities than 6 yards because that's why I had so much left over fabric!

I also realized that many people who sell fabric online don't seem to sew themselves, so this and my keen eye for fabric led me to create a shop where I could sell a curated collection of fabrics by the yard for reasonable prices.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get more of a certain print? Why can't I see the option to buy more fabric?

What I have listed is usually what I have available. If you're interested in more of a certain print send me a message and ask, however, there are no guarantees on if I'll be able to get more or when.

Because of the volume of requests I receive asking about specific fabrics, I am unable to respond to each request. I do log each question and in the event that I get a certain print back in stock then I will respond.

If there is no option to choose a quantity, then that means there is only 1 yard remaining.

The highest number that you can see in the quantity field is the amount of fabric in stock.

How much fabric am I getting? And will the fabric come in one continuous piece?

Unless the description says differently, 1 = 1 yard, 2 = 2 yards, and so on. The fabric will come in one continuous piece.

When will you ship my order?

I ship Monday-Friday within 1-3 business days. 95% of the time your order will go out the next business day. Depending on how many pending orders I have I ship on Saturday.

Please do not tell me when to ship your order. I aim to send my orders out as quickly as possible. Before I send out your fabric I inspect it and remove any stickers from the fabric. Sometimes this takes a little time.

How can I be sure of an item's color?

I do my best to make sure that I take photos that best represent the color of the fabrics. I photograph the fabric in natural light from different angles. In spite of my best intentions, I can never guarantee exact colors or color matching because variations in monitor or mobile color settings are just too wide from device to device.

If you are concerned about the exact color please send me a message or leave a note in your purchase so I consult with you before shipping. If after the consultation you decide that you no longer want the fabric I will cancel the order.

Over time I will be adding more specific color descriptions to listings.

Why don't you accept returns or exchanges?

While some fabric stores accept returns, like most fabric shops both online and off-line, I do not offer this.

While I do my best to inspect orders before they ship, if I've made a mistake or if the fabric is defective I will certainly try my best to make sure you get what you ordered or process a refund right away.

For those who are not sure about a particular fabric, I am always happy to send additonal photos or talk to you about your selection before purchasing.

Will you put a fabric on hold for me?

Because I can never predict how long I will have a fabric in stock AND my stock of each print is usually limited, I understand that some shoppers may want to have some time to browse or maybe consult with someone before purchasing. In some cases, I will honor a request to hold fabric for up to 5 days. The maximum quantity I will hold depends on the circumstances of the request.

Will you tell me how much fabric I will need to make a garment? Do you accept custom orders for garments?

Sometimes, I am able to assist people who are needing to know how much fabric will be needed to make a certain item. If you are making this type of request, please send me your measurements in inches or centimeters, at least one photo of a similar type garment, and if applicable, whether you want a loose-fitting or close-fitting garment.

At this moment, I typically do not accept custom order requests to make garments. If you have a particularly interesting project I may bite :)

I do have the custom order button activated, but I use that for certain pre-arranged orders.
