But first, let me introduce myself properly. I’m Charlie. I'm an engineer, mom, and creative. I love to guide people out of fear and uncertainty and into creative lives.

WHAT BRINGS ME HERE?

// I grew up wanting to be an astronaut. I did my time and earned the fancy engineering degrees. Yet at night it seemed that I had something to get out of my head, so I began to explore clay. I would indulge my creativity at night and work by day. I just couldn't stop!

// A few years on: I met my soulmate, and of course, then came marriage. I had to have the total DIY wedding, complete with destination and ALL! So I did what any avid clay artist does, purchased my first kiln, for $100 off of Craigslist. Then it began, the endless cycle of black, white, and turquoise vases. I hand carried every single one of them 2000 miles and with no casualties. The wedding happened, I was there, people started to take my vases (this was ok with me since I had no intention of carrying them back)! My friends and family wanted more! // To fast forward a little (there’s plenty in between, but we’ll save that for later) I got itching to try something new. I discovered the wonderful world metal clay. I learned fine silver precious metal clay first, received my certification, knew that I wanted to teach people that they could be creative too! Then silver prices EXPLODED! I had to find something new, so I found base metal clays and again was certified...(noticing a trend yet?).

I kept creating and realized I love giving others the opportunity to create something they love too. Maybe they didn't have the time or money to invest in learning something but with a few simple tools and some beads, the creations could come to fruition. That's why I created this shop, to give YOU the ability to stoke your FIRE!

When I’m not engineering + creating, there’s a good chance you’ll find me:
Playing with my son; training for a triathlon; obsessively learning; meditating; or reading a good book.
