About StinkyGoblinEmporium

Sales 234
On Etsy since 2015

Handmade awesomeness by Heather and Joe, based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA

Stinky Goblin Emporium is made up of Heather and Joe. We have been making all kinds of stuff together for about 15 years.

We both come from very crafty families and soon after we met, we realized that we both have an obsession with making things...constantly!

We are always trying out new materials, tools, and techniques. Our style comes from our love of horror movies, comic books, toys, cartoons, and heavy metal.

We specialize in hand painted wood plaques, graphics (hand drawn and computer), sculpting and resin casting, and leather craft.

Everything we make is made by us, from scratch, in small batches or, as is mostly the case, one-of-a-kind. We use professional materials and take lots of care when creating each and every item.

We also are willing to take on custom work, if it's within our skills and interests. Graphic packs for bands (cover art, stickers, t shirts, ect.), custom paintings, vendor booth signs, and leather projects (patches, dice trays, keychains,). Joe also offers graphics and print ready editing for gaming books (hand drawn cartography, monster graphics, page editing, ect.). Just contact us with your ideas!

We sell our wares here, but mostly, we set up shop at different events around Milwaukee. Most of the stuff we make never even makes it to our etsy shop, because we sell it out of our Stinky Goblin booth!!

Please check back periodically, as we are always creating something new and different! Also, check out stinkygoblin_emporium, stinkygoblin_leatherworks and stinkygoblin_graphix on instagram and StinkyGoblinEmporium on Facebook!

Thank you for checking us out!

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions

All our leather goods are made using top grain leather, and after they are dyed, we seal them with either leather conditioner, wax, or oil.

With usual wear, the leather will soften slightly. If you get it wet repeatedly, or its exposed to heat on a regular basis, it may get hard and brittle.

Also, if your leather cuff, for example, gets soaked, NEVER apply heat to make it dry faster! Always let the item dry naturally. If you ever have any questions about care of specific products, please convo us. There is a lot of bogus info on the Internet, and it's always better to ask the maker! And depending on the type of leather (suede, veg-tanned, upholstery), different care and conditioning will be needed.

Custom and personalized orders

We will take custom orders, but we do have the right to pick and choose. We have a certain style we like to adhere to, and a certain way we like to do things. If a prospective project is not really up our alley, or if its not something we feel comfortable with, we will tell you, please don't be offended.

Joe and I were both in the tattoo industry for just shy of 20 years, and that whole time we catered to every individuals art requests, and a lot of that time, we were not doing our own style or art. We got out of the business about 5 years ago, and made it a mission to only create things we wanted to, in our own style.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Yes! you can ask me to gift wrap something a little more special than usual! Just add a note to your order.

Also, I can add a gift card with your message, which I will hand write.

I package your orders with care. Paintings will always be wrapped in tissue paper, bubble wrap, thick craft paper, and plenty of paper padding, all in a cardboard box. Less fragile items, like leather patches, will come wrapped in tissue paper and bubble wrap, sealed in a manilla shipping envelope.

Please add a note or send me a convo if you have any special requests, and I will see if I can accommodate you!

Care instructions

Paintings
========

All the paintings I make are one of a kind, hand painted on wood. I use 1/2 inch sanded plywood and sometimes 3/4 inch pine board.

While the wood is not brittle or breaky, it can chip or crack if dropped or knocked with enough for

Also, I paint in acrylics and seal the painted areas with acrylic semi gloss clear coat. While this will insure the safety and longevity of the work, it is possible to scrap, scratch and damage it if not careful. So, as with all unique pieces of art, please use care when hanging or moving it about.

My paintings are not toys for little humans, nor trays to set stuff on (yes, I have been asked some wacky questions!!!).
