Shortly after I first started teaching myself to embroider, I started my very first embroidery journal. While it wasn't the best, I still adored all that it stored. Not many know this, but in 2020, I was starting as a Rooms Manager (think a cross between front desk and housekeeping) in Training at a hotel and since I was starting in early January, I thought it would be the perfect time to start my embroidery journal. So for a few months, I was tracking cleaning hotel rooms, chats with team members, and all that I was learning, until in March the pandemic started up and I was furloughed from my job.

In April as a way to keep myself busy, I launched as @thestircrazycrafter on Instagram. I shared my progress throughout the year with small updates as to what was going on in my life. Eventually, I began to gain a following and launched my website and months later, an Etsy shop where I was selling cross stitch patterns.

Eventually, I went back to my job, but I kept up with sharing my progress. My first embroidery journal was a wild journey. I tracked my first managerial job, the pandemic, a bone infection, a quick stint in hotel security for a resort hotel, and my eventual return back to the job I started the year at.

In 2021, I had aspirations to move to Scotland. So I set my sights on making that happen within the year. I had a few setbacks, but in August 2021, I made the move. Since I was moving to a different country, I said goodbye to my family, friends, and cats, I closed my Etsy shop, and stayed with family until I was settled.

By November 2021, I made it to Glasgow and was working in a hotel, but I wanted to devote more time to my creative pursuits. Eventually, in June 2022, I left the hotel and relaunched my Etsy after devoting a copious amount of time to developing my Create Your Own Embroidery Journal Guide.

Since then, I've launched a numerous amount of embroidery journal resources, embroidery kits, finished embroidery pieces, and even some custom pieces.
