stitchandtickle's Shop Policies
Welcome to the Stitch and Tickle Etsy store
I'm a Boston based mixed media artist, and a maker of things.. I respond to materials that are beautiful, interesting and/or unusual and try to make items that are simple, timeless and functional.
All items listed here are made by me, in my South End/Boston studio. I welcome custom orders and wholesale enquiries so please contact me with any questions.
Please make sure to read the store policies before placing an order.
And follow me on Instagram and Facebook for inspiration, work in progress and specials!
Paypal or Etsy Direct are the preferred method of payment for prompt shipping.
Payment is due at time of purchase.
All prices are in USD and do not include any applicable sales tax.
While I state that in-stock items ship within 3-5 business days, most items usually ship within 1-2 days. Please let me know if you are on a tight deadline.
Shipping and handling costs are estimated and I will refund any overage when the difference is more than $2.
All items ship Priority Mail unless you request otherwise. Priority Mail now includes a delivery confirmation tracking number from USPS, but does not include insurance. Please contact me at time of purchase to request the package to be insured as it needs to be done at time of shipping. Stitch and Tickle is not responsible for any loss or damage during transit.
In an effort to limit waste, I use recycled packaging as much as possible.
International orders: exact shipping charges will be quoted at time of order depending on the chosen shipping method.
Refunds and Exchanges
While I’m not in position to issue refunds, in-stock items are returnable for store credit when returned within 3 days of receipt. Return items must be in new and unworn condition.
Shipping for returns and exchanges is at the customer’s expense unless the return is due to a product flaw.
Sale, made to order and custom orders are not returnable.
Additional Policies and FAQs
Leather: Being a natural material, leather often presents minor marks and variations inherent to the hide. While mass produced or high end bags try to eliminate those imperfections, I see them as part of the unique character of the material. I believe it is possible to make bags that are beautiful without supporting the wastefulness of the handbag industry.
Dimensions: Because every bag is handmade, dimensions might vary slightly (+/- 1"). Please let me know prior to placing an order if you have any concerns and I'll be happy to check.
Made to order:
There is no extra charge for an item that is made to order (that is, to the existing specifications). Made to order items can take up to two weeks to be made but I will always do my best to ship as early as possible.
Custom orders are welcome so please feel free to email me with any special requests. Please be aware that custom specifications take extra time and thus usually cost extra, so they are quoted on a case by case basis.
Custom orders must be prepaid.
Made to order and custom items are not returnable.
Wholesale: please contact me for wholesale pricing and terms.
