Anna is one of the nicest sellars here at Etsy. She made my shopping experience one of the nicest I have hade. The St. Francis Doll was for my niece's First Reconciliation and she just loves him. Anna's skill is superb, and she has put her heart and love into this creation. I recommend Anna's Play with me Saint dolls for all children. They are so beautiful and a perfect way for children to play and pray, and to have their favourite Saint look after them. Thank you Anna for your kindness and for making your St Francis doll for my neice...he will be cherished and much loved.

About

Hello!

We are Stitchin' Traditions, a Catholic, homeschooling family of 11 (only 7 of us contribute to our shop) who live in Australia.

Some of us are handy with needles, while others are just as handy with paintbrushes and pencils! We all have our "creative specialties" and like to improve them all the time as well as learn new ones.

We are still fairly new to Etsy and started our shop when Dad lost his job as a help on the side, Dad is now studying and so still doesn't have work as of yet. Our newest items in the shop are "Play-With-Me-Dolls" made by Mum (Annamaria), she is working on more saints and famous literary characters at the moment.

Most of our creative ideas and inspiration come from spending hours in each others company crafting, going on nature rambles, thrift shopping, reading aloud or having "craft" days while listening to music, sipping tea and eating goodies!

Some of our favourite authors and illustrators who inspire us are: Herge, Beatrix Potter, Jill Barklem, Marguerite deAngeli, Tomie dePaola, Eve Garnett, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Pauline Baynes, Arthur Ransome, Kevin Crossley-Holland, Enid Blyton, Gene Stratton-Porter, Elizabeth Enright, Noel Streatfeild, Henry Garnett, Elizabeth Goudge, Mary Grant Bruce, Louisa M. Alcott, Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, Flora Thompson & Charles Dickens.
