Note from shop owner Welcome to The Brass Clasp! Find a special vintage handbag to complete your own unique look! We also stock vintage carry-alls that help you (and your stuff) get there in style. I take care to curate a collection of high quality vintage bags, but keep in mind that vintage items are pre-loved and are not always perfect. Their previous wear adds to their charm and makes them unique. For most items in my shop there is only one available. Happy digging!

Handmade goods to comfort and protect.

Hi, my name is Sarah. I’m a one person operation also known as Stitch Machine. My journey on Etsy has been long and winding but I’m still here. My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was 9 years old and I have held the practice close to my heart since then. I learned how to sew and taught myself how to knit along the way. I have always loved making things and was lucky to have a “village” that encouraged making at an early age. Knitting and crocheting have always been meditative and at times they were an escape. I hope to bring comfort and protection with my goods. It’s also my mission to shine a light on mental health and to help others to experience the calming, transcendent practice of making things with yarn. My goods are all machine washable and dryable and are made to be used over and over.
