Rescue a Fossil * Save a Perfect Pebble * Treasure a Piece of History - Re-Use - Re-Cycle - Recover. WE: Discover – Wash – Sort - Drill. YOU: Design – Create – Enjoy!
DESIGNER STONE PACKAGES: rather than listing after listing being the same, I strive toward each set being unique. You'll find great inspiring stuff in my shop. It's why we're the #1 online stone bead shop. Featured recently on Changing Sea's WPBT2 TV "Living Fossils".
Beach finds personally collected here in the USA ♥ and made ready for you to incorporate into your jewelry or craft. Treasures rich in rustic texture and color; historical, ancient, unique.
VARIETY: Shapes, sizes, colors, textures, minerals...lots of great variety.
SIZES: I use a quarter in the photos so you can get a good idea of the size. The drill holes are usually at least 1.5 mm to 3 mm. If you have more specific questions regarding size, or need larger/smaller holes, please convo!
HOLES: I drill the best holes ~ natural, organic & earthy like the stones themselves. Each one drilled by hand, not a drill press.
ALL NATURAL AS FOUND: as always, tumbled only by the waves. I don't even own a tumbler. They are thoroughly washed and rubbed by hand to shine, or left to dry with a matte finish.
PHOTOS: I'm the photographer :) I'll take several photos using different angles and both sides the stone. Please scroll the photos of the listings. I want you to be happy and know what you're getting! ♥
The SEA GLASS: Sea glass are pieces of glass washed up on shores after unknown time tumbling in the sand and surf. It's a soothing hobby...with the wonder of:::
♥ What it was: (sometimes you can tell - like the antique pink decanter stopper I found on Mackinaw Island!)
♥ Where it came from: perhaps a boat, a ship wreck or another city.
♥ How long it's been in the water: maybe hundreds of years.
♥ Who handled it before you: it's all vague and romantic...stimulating the imagination and design.
SHIPPING: FAST :D (see "policies" for details). Shipped from my United States shop. Thank you!

Creating with nature...using stones, glass and other beach finds as beads...
Welcome! ~ No shirt ~ No shoes ~ No problem ?
Collecting and bringing the stones home and selecting just the right pieces for my sets and listings is an art that jewelry makers with a particular style will appreciate.
Rich in history, rustic patina, primitive nature. I also throw in a bit of glitz with the sea glass and some precious stones and metals, and one of a kind jewelry.
My hope is that you'll see the beauty that's within the earth when you visit this shop, and that it will translate into your own creations. My creativity sparks brightest when I discover the truly unique pieces. Perfectly smooth pebbles are lovely, but the distressed, Arcadian stones that have yet to succumb to nature's relentless tumbling are often my favorites...as a quick glance around my shop will show you!
I do all of my own photography with the objective of showing you the entire pieces with their beauty against simple backgrounds.
I also do all of the drilling - by hand - no machines. Each piece is then thoroughly cleaned with soap and very hot water, then left to dry. Some (not all - depends on the look I want) get a small rub of hand lotion to keep their sort-of wet look.
Me ~
I'm a long time resident of West Michigan. I'm also a long time medical coder, which keeps me busy when I'm not working on stones. I love to create, decorate, read, take walks, bike, golf, play poker. My husband is my co-collector. We usually search for stones together when we can get away at the same time.
We recently moved to a new home - and I have the perfect spot for an herb garden, so I'm going be trying my hand at that this year.
I adore pit bulls and advocate for pit bull rescue; along with other shelter dogs. I foster and try to help where I can. Rescue, not retail.
I'm also a big fan of shopping local. I try to as often as I can ~ farmer's markets, local small shops, diners, even my own town gas stations and online purchases. If we all take care of our communities it translates into good all around.
Thank you for visiting. Drop a note anytime! ♥ You can ask for custom orders as well. I'll be happy to deliver ~ Val
