The castle looks great, the lights work and the overall price is fair for an original piece of art this beautiful.

The plexiglass box provided seemed at first way too big for the sculpture, but, with a bit of fantasy, filling it with other old books as a base, it turned out to be a fresh and bright idea in my library.
I fully understand that buying a box with custom sizes is a tricky and way more expensive thing.

The communication was great and caring.

The shipment, alas, was very negative. It's not the seller's fault.
The shipment price was more than doubled with a huge customs clearance fee, which I'm not entirely sure could have been avoided.
Still, I was not economically prepared for that.
The shipment was also very slow, compared to the price I paid.
I highly suggest to use another courier!

It was so great to work with Brittany on the creation of this item! My mother was retiring from the field of librarianship, so we got to throw in some fun easter eggs to make the castle special for her. It looks beautiful as both a piece of art and when its lit! Thank you!!!

Welcome to StorybookSculpture! Bringing new life to old books is one of my favorite things to do. I love taking a story or a scene and intentionally crafting every detail until it is filled with whimsy and wonder.

The story of how I discovered this love of tiny paper things is through a baby - sounds like a fairytale, right? Some dear friends named their baby after me, and I thought that probably required a very intentional birth gift. I decided to try my hand at making something out of a book (since everyone knows I adore books). As I thought about what I wanted her to grow up knowing, I began building a scene out of three different books, with every word and page carefully and intentionally chosen just for her. I quickly found I had fallen in love with book sculpting, both for the craft and for the intentionality that goes with it! Many trials and errors and stuck-together fingers later, and here is my little shop.

If you're interested in a custom piece, please message me! I love dreaming up my own sculptures, but I also absolutely love creating something for a very specific person.

In the rest of my life I work at a wonderful non-profit, try to force my cat Penelope to love me, and lead high school girls at my church. I hope my sculptures and shop bring a little extra magic, whimsy, and wonder to your day! All the love <3.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalised orders

I love custom orders! Please feel free to contact me about any custom orders you have, and we will work through the pricing, delivery time and whether you want updates along the way or not. Unfortunately the cost and time entirely depends on what you want, but depending on the complexity I can usually finish between 1-3 weeks.

Damaged items

If your item arrives with damage, please take pictures and send them to me immediately! All of my packages are insured and packaged with care. Unfortunately, if damage occurs due to customer handling, I cannot issue a refund. The sculptures are delicate, so please be oh-so-careful with them!

Gift wrapping and packaging

If this is a gift for someone else, please put it in your order notes! I like to package the sculptures specific to the person they're being delivered to so that your wrapping is all done for you.
