Thank you so much!! Libby was so wonderful to collaborate with for this custom made clutch. She was extremely speedy to communicate with. She was so very patient thru the process as I made little changes here and there in my preferences, and also very knowledgeable in her craft as she would make many suggestions and ideas for me to choose from and think about. On top of that the purse itself is so beautiful and well made!! I am very happy with the quality and look of my clutch. This was a very satisfying etsy make for me! I highly recommend Libby especially for custom creations c:

This turned-out just as I'd hoped and working with Libby to make it that way was a real pleasure.

Libby Ferrara is truely a master of her craft. I bought this wallet as a gift for my partner. It is made of beautifully selected materials of the best quality and was very clearly made at a level of craftsmanship that is rarely seen in this day in age. My partner uses this wonderful little piece everyday and continually recieves compliments on it. We are looking forward to expanding our collection from Stray Goose Studio and would fully recommend these products to anyone who has an appreciation for quality, originality and functionality. Libby you have been a pleasure to do business with and we thank you very much!

About

Making is how I understand my place within my indescribable surroundings.

In my life I have always strived towards a dream of making beautiful things to support myself as part of an adventurous, vibrant life. Stray Goose Studio was born of this ideal while simultaneously seeking to find balance between getting by and setting aside time and space to express my love for the experience of living through making.

Since moving to South Central Alaska in 2010 my daily life has become infinitely more adventurous than previously imaginable. From sea-kayak guiding to backcountry skiing to wintering without plumbing to becoming a commercial fisherwoman—each achievement has demanded I constantly acquire new skills and further extend my edge of comfort. To make everything work it’s necessary to live light enough to gracefully adapt while still retaining my essence.

To fit into this exciting but turbulent lifestyle Stray Goose Studio has a unique twist—it’s portable. When the commercial salmon fishing season on Prince William Sound is over I switch gears from hunter/gatherer to craftsman, unpack my storage unit, and set up shop. Consisting of a folding table, disassemble-able plywood jewelers bench, toolbox and 3, 18 gallon Rubbermaid totes worth of materials and equipment my studio is not flawless but it’s practical in light of my juxtaposed needs.

My instinct to make combined with a desire to live a high quality and simplistic life are the values behind Stray Goose Studio’s designs. So, despite the challenges of seasonal, goose-like, migration around Alaska I will continue using sustainably sourced leather, fibers, ivory, bone, papers, metals and many processes to make original functional works including wallets, books, stationary and adornments.

It excites me to think of the products I make leaving the studio and becoming part of the person who chooses them. My hope is that each of Stray Goose Studio’s sold products develops a purpose beyond its principal function by enriching the users quality of life!
