Music, Glass, and Fire - The Story of LIFE
I've been pouring my passion into stained glass for more than a decade. After jumpstarting my career as a stained glass artist, I discovered the world of lampworked beads. I poured over books, studied the theory, and ambitiously bought a torch - that I left in its box, unopened, under my bed for more than a year. My excuse was that we were considering moving and that I'd set up my torch as soon as I had my new studio (I did, which makes it in retrospect a good decision, right?). The truth was that I was terrified of working with fire. I got over that pretty quickly, fortunately. As a lampworking artist, I'm still evolving. I probably always will be. I'm always dreaming of the next bead I want to make.
Over time I've added more techniques - metalsmithing and enameling, to name two. In my shop you'll see a mix of everything I love making, and most of it will somehow tie into glass.
Owner, Maker, Designer, Lampworker And Glass Artist
I've recently relocated to Washington state after 35 years in Israel. After a long string of eclectic career choices, I discovered glass and fell in love with the materials and techniques used to create glass art.
My website, www.wildrosesart.com, serves as a link to my galleries and blog. It also also have cool information for artists, free patterns, and artist profiles (some of which is still being built!).
I'm a self-representing artist and I work in my studio full time, incorporating wondrous *stuff* such as ammonites, beads, crystals, agates and vintage jewelry into my designs.
