Music, Glass, and Fire - The Story of LIFE

I've been pouring my passion into stained glass for more than a decade. After jumpstarting my career as a stained glass artist, I discovered the world of lampworked beads. I poured over books, studied the theory, and ambitiously bought a torch - that I left in its box, unopened, under my bed for more than a year. My excuse was that we were considering moving and that I'd set up my torch as soon as I had my new studio (I did, which makes it in retrospect a good decision, right?). The truth was that I was terrified of working with fire. I got over that pretty quickly, fortunately. As a lampworking artist, I'm still evolving. I probably always will be. I'm always dreaming of the next bead I want to make.

Over time I've added more techniques - metalsmithing and enameling, to name two. In my shop you'll see a mix of everything I love making, and most of it will somehow tie into glass.

After a long string of eclectic career choices, I fell in love with the materials and techniques used to create glass art. I'm also a published author and composer. I now live and work in Washington state in a small coastal village.

Welcome! I'm Cecilia Cohen, aka on Etsy as Wild Roses Washington (WildRosesWA) and Custom Memories (custommemoriesisrael), While there are exceptions to everything, almost everything I make is somehow related to glass, my favorite medium, most days.

My website, www.wildrosesart.com, serves as a link to my galleries and blog. It's still being built, but eventually it will also have cool information for artists like free patterns and artist profiles.

I'm a self-representing artist and I work in my studio alsmost full time, incorporating wondrous *stuff* such as ammonites, beads, crystals, agates and vintage jewelry into my designs.

I believe in FAIR PRICE - I try to keep my prices attractive to you, the buyer. I believe in FAIR PLAY - I am as accurate in my descriptions as possible; when you read the item description, you really will know what you are getting.

I'm proud to accept Etsy gift cards and credit card payments and this is my first choice for payments. If you live in the US AND have purchased from my shops before, you can also pay with a personal check. Please convo me to arrange that. Thank you!
At the moment shipping costs are provided for US only. That's because the international settings are so varied that it's virtually impossible to get it right. If you need international shipping, convo me, please, and I'll weigh out whatever items you are considering and ask the post office about the fees to your destination. I'm happy to do that.

I normally ship within a day or two of receiving payment, but I allow myself up to 5 days in case I'm unable to reach the Post Office faster. I'll ship your purchase to you (or to your designated giftee) using the US Postal Service. Most purchases are shipped with tracking. My base shipping fee includes a small amount for packing materials. If you purchase several items and combine shipping to one destination, and Etsy has overcalculated shipping costs, I'll refund the difference.
Refunds and Exchanges
No-Questions-Asked Refunds - It hasn't happened yet, but if you're not happy when you open your package, send the item back with the receipt and you'll get your money back. (I need the receipt returned for the Income Tax authorities). If your item broke in the mail (that's happened 2ce in 10 years) I’ll return your money or you can request that I try to fix it, or commission a similar replacement. Occasionally a package is stolen from the mail - it's heartbreaking, but I promise we'll work it out.
Additional policies and FAQs
I recycle stuff like other people's packing materials, plastic bags, newspapers, old boxes, etc. My philosophy is more recycling = less garbage = a better world. Thanks for being part of it!
