About

Treasures from the Coast of Maine

For centuries, the Kennebec River, which runs from Moosehead Lake in west central Maine to Bath on the coast, was a major thoroughfare for trade. Though much of the waterway market has now turned to tourist traffic, the Kennebec remains a busy commercial region from Skowhegan to Augusta and Bath, which is where I now live, work and raise my two boys.

I'm also a freelance writer and photographer, with a love of gardens and all things old. I love the stories behind antiques, their sense of history and their ability to keep us connected to the past.

I've been at this business long enough to know I have an "eye" for good finds, and - no matter how much I might wish otherwise - there is no way that I can keep them all to myself. So, I enjoy these treasures for awhile, and then pass them along to a new home. Some of my favorites are vintage clothing, kitchenware, housewares, linens, tools and nautical items. I also love books and ephemera.

Welcome to the Kennebec Trading Company.
