I began sewing at the age of four and received my first sewing machine at the age of six as a Christmas gift. My younger sister promptly ate some of the machine parts. Both the machine and my sister happily survived, and I continued down my sewing path. I am a fourth generation seamstress and a carpenter's daughter, both of these help tremendously when quilting (especially measuring twice and cutting once...).

I love working with modern, reclaimed, and vintage fabric and often work on a small scale, with the postage stamp quilt and my Fractured Four Patch (©, 2011 Jenniffer Sisco) as some of my favorites. I still use some of the quilts my grandmother made decades ago and craft mine with the same intent: they are meant to be used and also made to last and be passed to others in your family. Some of you have asked about the numbering of the pieces: I work with different patterns and each quilt is numbered within its own series so I can keep track of how many completed for each pattern.

If you are purchasing an item as a gift for someone special in another location, please let me know: I am happy to gift wrap, include a note card from you, then forward the item to the recipient on your behalf, all at no charge. Who doesn't like receiving an unexpected gift in the mail?

Thank you very much for looking, best wishes to you!
