Announcement   Always wanted to try embroidery? Or want to re-learn because it's been years? You're in the right place! Every kit in my shop is designed as a beginner embroidery kit.

You won't find vintage patterns or ducks in bonnets here. There's only modern designs like narwhals, succulents, and tattooed sailors.

I also believe that embroidery should be fun, not frustrating, so I help you learn the basic stitches with every kit.

Today is rainbow and unicorn day! It's also the last day to join the Super Stitchers' Club and get this unicorn in your mailbox after March 1st. (Oh, and I'm expecting you to name these unicorns so please share when you know yours.)
Curious what's coming up in the club? Here's a little 3-month peek! You have been freaking out about the Rockabilly Girl and that absolutely makes my day. The sloth is a quick little sew for May, to help you recover from the Rockabilly Girl.
@bb_stitcher_ has been busy working on her February club pattern. How cute is her needle minder?

About

Approachable embroidery for modern stitchers.

I believe embroidery should be fun, not frustrating, which is why you won’t find any French knots or fancy stitches here. I believe there is beauty in simplicity. Both in design and execution, my aim is to create a project that can be sewn in a day instead of a week.

I create my embroidery designs because I want to live in a world where we come home from work and decompress on the couch with a fun embroidery project. A world where homes are decorated by things we made and proudly display. A world where we give the gift of craft - the gift of quiet time.

I refuse to believe that our skills as embroiderers are only measured in the difficulty of our stitches or the perfection of the backs of our projects. As modern stitchers, we are no longer confined by the hoop or day of the week designs. Instead, we can embrace the fact that we are all a little weird at heart.

I am on a mission to fill the world with approachable embroidery for modern stitchers. If you want to join and start sewing today, sign up for my mailing list to receive a free printable pattern.

Studio MME opened in 2009 after I went to a craft store & found the same patterns I'd sewn when I was seven! Ick, no! I didn't want to sew cats doing laundry again. I created Studio MME to design approachable embroidery for modern stitchers like you.

I started Studio MME in 2009 after a trip to the craft store revealed they were selling the same day of the week patterns I'd sewn with my grandmother when I was seven. There was no way I was going to sew geese in bonnets again. So I created Studio MME to design approachable embroidery for modern stitchers. Together with my partner and CFO (Chief Feline Officer), I run the business in beautiful Washington just a stone's throw from Portland.
