Announcement   I believe embroidery should be fun, not frustrating, which is why you won’t find any French knots or fancy stitches here. I believe there is beauty in simplicity. Both in design and execution, my aim is to create a project that can be sewn in a day instead of a week.

My sister use to live in Oregon and took me to Crater Lake when I was visiting. A beautiful place! I gave this to her as a gift and she LOVED it!

Thank you so much. Will enjoy working on this project. We have trees in our backyard that look like Joshua Tree! No mountains though.

It's officially spring here because the tulips and daffodils are blooming! I know you'll want to sit out in the flower fields and stitch your own bouquet.
This is what I can't wait to see in April! Mount Hood loves to hide in the clouds so I helped it out with my embroidery kit last year.
Summer is coming and that means camping and hiking are just around the corner! You can stitch this while relaxing around a campfire at night.

About

Approachable embroidery for modern stitchers.

I believe embroidery should be fun, not frustrating, which is why you won’t find any French knots or fancy stitches here. I believe there is beauty in simplicity. Both in design and execution, my aim is to create a project that can be sewn in a day instead of a week.

I create my embroidery designs because I want to live in a world where we come home from work and decompress on the couch with a fun embroidery project. A world where homes are decorated by things we made and proudly display. A world where we give the gift of craft - the gift of quiet time.

I refuse to believe that our skills as embroiderers are only measured in the difficulty of our stitches or the perfection of the backs of our projects. As modern stitchers, we are no longer confined by the hoop or day of the week designs. Instead, we can embrace the fact that we are all a little weird at heart.

I am on a mission to fill the world with approachable embroidery for modern stitchers. If you want to join and start sewing today, sign up for my mailing list to receive a free printable pattern.

I started Studio MME in 2009 realizing craft stores were selling the same patterns I'd sewn when I was seven. There was no way I was going to sew geese in bonnets again so I created Studio MME to design approachable embroidery for modern stitchers.

I started Studio MME in 2009 after a trip to the craft store revealed they were selling the same day of the week patterns I'd sewn with my grandmother when I was seven. There was no way I was going to sew geese in bonnets again. So I created Studio MME to design approachable embroidery for modern stitchers. Together with my partner and CFO (Chief Feline Officer), I run the business in beautiful Washington just a stone's throw from Portland.
