One of a Kind, One at a Time
When I was six years old, I made my very first book. It consisted of four rectangles of paper cut from a brown grocery bag, carefully folded and stapled in the center. Inside, I wrote and lavishly illustrated, in No. 2 pencil, a gripping story of romance with a surprise ending.
Ambiguously titled, "The Girl Who Loved the Milkman," the story reads, in its entirety, "Once upon a time there was a girl who loved the milkman. And she drank milk and milk and milk and milk and milk. But that is not the end, and her name was Susie and now it is the end."
(I had a lot of pages to fill.)
In the way these things have of coming full circle, I went on to experiment with all manner of artistic endeavors over the next few decades, but eventually returned to my first true love, creating unique and imaginative books. My binding techniques have grown beyond the stapler, and high-quality, acid-free papers now stand in for the brown paper bag. Each book is made by hand, with careful attention to detail, and needs only your story to make it complete.

Shop policies
I use acid-free heavy patterned papers, sketch paper and/or cardstock for most book pages. These materials lend themselves well to sketching, journaling, scrapping, smashing and photo backgrounds. Some cover materials are new; others have been recycled from unloved hardcover books and vintage photo and postcard albums. All have been embellished with care and an eye for pleasing, timeless designs.
Create your own bullet journal, to-do lists, calendar or sketchbook with unique traveler's notebook covers. Collage transforms fabric and stitch to create a whimsical "ScrappyDori" you won't find anywhere else, and no two are ever alike.
I welcome your questions and comments and will be happy to create a custom book for you!

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders
I love custom orders! Click on "contact" to tell me about your vision and I will work with you to make it happen.
Can I order a notebook cover in a size not listed here?
Contact me and I'll work with you to create the perfect size cover for your needs.
Can you make a notebook cover using a digital image I provide?
I print the cover images onto fabric, so I can use your favorite photo, illustration, painting, etc. to make a custom cover for you. There are a few limitations: the image must be in vertical format in order to fit on the cover correctly; must print out at up to 5"x7" without loss of quality, and must conform to copyright laws. Questions are welcome!
